Remember when I was all fire excited about getting the white iphone last weekend? how i spent 1hr (longer) in walmart trying to get one? in the end the girl couldn't print the contract/activate the phone so I walked out with NO white iphone? I call back to make sure everything did NOT go through. They assure me it didn't because the phone was never rang out and purchased. WRONG I just got 113 buck bill in my mailbox. I called to find out what the heck, and they are trying to get it all straghtened out, but since the people that work in the cell phone dept in walmart are on lunch they have to cal me back. ugh. i swear I give up with phones. seriously. they are a pain in my tush even when I change my mind and don't have them! In other news omg.. I am getting a seriously nasty chest cold. My lungs/back have been killing me for like 2 days :( ugh. and you know summertime colds just suck the worst..:( I plan to have a pretty chill day and possibly work on grits-reviews a … [Read more...]

A picture & a story!
Alrighty. It's supposed to be wordless wed. and all that but this pic I have to tell the story about. The girl on the left is My mom in 1978, and the girl on the right is???? we don't know who she is. so how did I come up with a picture that so remarkably resembles her and not know who she is? One night when I was going to Appalachian State University, My friend Rebecca and I were in the Wendy's restraunt right up from the school. The Wendy's up there (boone, nc) has an upstairs. I had ate up there a few times, just cause it's cool you know? but alot of times when I ate there I would eat downstairs because upstairs was so popular and full Anyways we had went in there to use the bathroom, not eat, and we went to the bathroom upstairs (I know..it has a bathroom upstairs too how cool right??)I was looking at all the random pictures on the wall and all of a sudden I just had this weird feeling. I turn around and I see a picture of the Appalachian State Teaching College (app's old … [Read more...]
netbooks.phones.giftcards more :)
*waves* well lets see. I got the sprint drama cleared up! you woulnd't believe it, but they let me out of the contract with no fees!! WOOT!! They actually had investigated my complaints and turns out there is some major coverage issues with their data in my area (which I knew were still exiting since I got the virgin mobile phone and thats their network as well!) we took the evo to bestbuy to have them do the buyback on it. we ended up with a 300 buck gift card (they do it based on retail value which was 600 bucks) David really wanted to get an iphone..but I didn't. i'm like honestly I do NOT feel like signing anymore contracts. we have just had too much bad luck. I ended up getting the HP MINI 210 Netbook in Pink (Raspberry) Plaid! (Pics to come I Promise!) we actually had to go to another store for me to find it, because they are actually discontinued! they only had 2 so I was like YAY. I ended up owing 29 cents ha ha. David bascially thinks it's dumb that I wanted a … [Read more...]
Fotobounce Software Review
I love pictures! I think that digital photography is quite awesome too! I know that I love being able to just snap away, and instantly be able to see the picture. I even have my own photo printer that david bought me (which reminds me I need to print a few pics so that my ink doesn’t dry up!) One thing I haven’t really ever done a whole lot of is organizing my pictures. Sure they have all been uploaded to flickr for the most part( a lot of those were scanned and uploaded by my mom) Some are in sets, some are not..It’s just really time consuming to get into. Recently I discovered software called fotobounce, and it sure does kick up the making organization and sharing of your pictures a lot easier! Fotobounce is free software that offers a lot of organizational options, face detection, and a unique sharing method to share your photos with others. It has a very clean interface, and it’s so simple to use even my mom has been able to figure it out without asking me 500 questions … [Read more...]
i miss you nanny!
I have posted this picture before, but it is one of my favorites of me and my great grandma, and unfortunately it is the last one. My great-grandma died last year on July 6th, so today makes 1 year since she died. I think that in the last few weeks it has really started to hit me, even more so than it did back then...It feels like so much more than a year since she died for sure. I wish I could have spent more time with her than I did in the last few years of her life. I won't ever forget the last time I saw her. It was on May 1st at my grandparents 50th wedding anniversary. I went out to her house to see her and she was sleeping. She had been so bad off I didn't even wake her up. I just walked back out, but down deep i knew that was the last time I would get to see her. I cried almost all the way home... I was lucky to have her in my life for 26 year! Most people don't get that lucky. She got to see me grown up and happy. I just wish she could have got to see me with a kid! … [Read more...]
nichole’s big announcement.
I tweeted last wed/ thursday, I believe it was... that david and I are considering fostering a kid and then adopting it. I got no responses lol.( I can't remember which day I went to mom''s..but that was the day) We have talked about the possibility of adopting before..but not really so seriously as we are right now. The weirdest thing was my mom just randomly said "You should see about doing foster care" I was like well yeah, but I don't want to get attached to some little one and then they don't get to stay with me in the long run. I didn't know that you can actually foster care a child and then adopt that child in the long run. My mom knew a bit more than I did on the subject, because I have a 2nd cousin who has done this with SIX children! (3 brothers, 2 sisters and an only child) She knew each time that she had a 99% chance of getting to adopt them in the long run. You can even pick the age rages/sex of child/etc. I want a little girl around the age of 2 up to 5ish.I … [Read more...]
