One of the biggest pet peeves I have is the whole perception of bloggers like myself, is that we get stuff for "free" and/or that's the only reason that we do what we do. Even more so are the people that only talk to me when they see me post something that I got to review and /or got for a perk/ at a review conference,etc to be like Oh em gees, you go that for free! I want one too, share your contact info with me. which comes with the hidden message: I know I haven't talked to you in 5 years but you'd surely want to hook me up too right? I am too lazy to look into this on my own but since you have contacts you'd be more than happy to share them, because nichole you are just too sweet and a pushover to say no right? WRONG. WRONG. WRONG. Seriously if you aren't going to talk to me about anything else unfriend me and walk away. Mom’s Foot & Capones pizza and odd combo..I know
I won't ever forget when my mom got hurt at work and later on had to file for workers compensation insurance I had just ordered this huge huge pizza from Capones (an appalachian state university/ boone, nc pizza joint!) which is the best pizza place ever. Ordered that thing up with garlic and hamburger..my mouth is watering now! I no sooner get the pizza delivered my mom frantically calls me telling me she's going to the hospital because a product shelf (glass) fell on her foot at work! My mom still has problems with her foot..actually with both feet. she calls one her bad good one and the other her good bad one lol. Ok, So I should have put this up as a semi-wordless wed. post..but..I didn't I was too zonked! (Still am, if you want me to be honest!) I decided to concentrate on pics of me and the lovely ladies that I did meet and get lucky enough to get pics with! I will get a misc pics/swag post later on! This is one of those quick little posts just to basically say that I am back! I have so much I want to write about, and pics that I want to put up and such! However, I am absolutely wore out! Reviewers Retreat: Up & Ready To Go!
Well...I can't sleep! Which May be semi-normal for me, but this time it's because I am SO SO SO SO EXCITED because Reviewers Retreat is today! Yes, I live less than 45 minutes away, but I am more excited than a kid at christmas! David and I plan to leave around 930 and stop by a tavern place to pick up some tickets for a band (free) for a concert on friday and then we need to stop at kohls to get him some swimming shorts (we didn't know until last night that his were too little!) I was hopeful to sleep until around 7 or so, but instead I woke up at 4:30 and..well I got up a little after 6 and now it's 7:30 and here I am! I am not spazing out too horribly bad like I normally do, which i'm shocked. I know it's really close and everything but I didn't think that would calm me as much as it has so far, but it is awesome that I am doing so well!
