I always love when I get the chance to write for Campus Book Rentals! It makes me get to get to think about those “good old college days” which I can’t believe were like over 10 years ago now when I first went away to appalachian in the spring of 2005! O.k. see that right there just makes me feel old 🙁 I guess I am young at heart and have lots of awesome memories so that is what really matters in the long run 🙂
One thing that I enjoyed with going to Appalachian State is it is one of the few colleges that allows you to rent your required textbooks straight from them for a really low fee! Back then it was about $35 and it didn’t matter how many you got. I always found it to be an awesome concept because I am sure you have probably been in the situation where you end up with a book that you RARELY used or didn’t ever use at all, and you paid a fortune for it. I used to have good luck on buying used books in the financial aide students hadn’t go there first, but usually they had.
I always thought it would be awesome if there was a better way to get your books where it was like the rental system that we had at AppState.. I finally around the last few semesters I was in school had found a place to rent your books but back then it wasn’t that common of a thing, and they had crazy rules for you if you could even find your book in a limited selection.
Now a days though you have a better option all the way around with renting your textbooks from the good folks over at campus book rentals! They have a wide selection, and they don’t have crazy rules about highlighting and whatnot! Here are some of the awesome highlights of what they offer you with your textbook renting experience
Some perks are:
-save 40-90% off of bookstore prices
-free shipping both ways
-can highlight in the textbooks
-flexible renting periods
-we donate to Operation Smile with each textbook rented
I like when doing something that you were going to do anyways has a nice charitable association with it(I know there is a certain wine that I drink that donates shoes to folks for example) Operation smile is an awesome charity that helps children with cleft palates- which is a condition that I didn’t even really realize all of the complications and stigmas that are associated with it! It is amazing that here you are renting your books anyways and they are helping folks all at the same time!
