I started a post about my Jury Duty adventures from last week but I have yet to get it finished! Today I am helping out with moderating for the trash can university conference and honestly I can’t seem to get going on much of anything else!
The weekend is a HUGE blur… Friday I know we went to David’s dads so david could work on the scooter. Then Alex came over and got to spend the night. Saturday David & I went to a flea market up in the mountains…probably wasn’t the brightest move with my foot lol, but I wore my boot I got a headband and that was it!
Yesterday we went over to my moms so david could get his hair cut and I got mine colored. we came home and were taking a quick nap when I found out about the horrible wreck at the nc/va state line at galax virginia, which is in carroll county. I say that because that is actually where David & I bought our marriage license, and also where my burgundy car broke down when were on the way back from my great grandma’s funeral.
I have been through there a gazillion times and it is a sketchy stretch of road even in great weather/no fog. I can’t tell you how many times I have been through there and you honestly can’t even see period! My parents were just up there saturday so it could have easily been them involved in the wrecks OR just backed up in traffic had they stayed over!
They were saying that it was 95(original reports say 75) cars in 17 different wrecks. So far I believe there were 25 people that had to be taken to the hospital and I get conflicting reports on the death count I have saw 3 but I have also saw 4. I am glad that the numbers haven’t seemed to have raised and it really could have been much worse with the speeds and every thing considered.

I can only imagine how scared people were , tired, hungry, etc… Plus you don’t know how far they still had to get home or if they knew a lot about that area and things.. I know that they had people out looking for pets that had been involved and gotten to the woods.
I guess this is all just a little bit chilling to me and I travel through there so much and everything. I know that we will go through there with our hazzard lights on and people will fly past …
well that is all for now. I gotta go help moderate a session in a few !more later gators!
