well I thought I wrote you all yesterday at some point but apparently I did one of those open the dashboard & ramble and not finish deals
Anyways, the weekend was a fast one! David worked half a day saturday and we went over to my mom and dads for a late lunch /dinner. I know we went out sometime late Saturday evening to publix but I can’t even for anything remember what we actually went and got…
Sunday we had the snow/sleet/freezing rain event. Storm of the lifetime ? NO. Not in my book by far lol. It was pretty weak honestly- but it is odd for us to have an accumulating snow/winter event this time of the year. We generally don’t have those until January/ Feb. It was more ice or freezing rain and whatnot than anything. All you could hear was it on the windows- it was crazy. .. most of our windows are front facing and it was like hearing someone throw gravels at them (like when we get hail storms sometimes) I spent the day cuddled and burrowed and reading and it was awesome 🙂
Monday david (and my dad) got the day off. Our parking lot was a mess. I actually think that my dad had to go in and scrape and clear some of the roadways out there.. It was another really chill day of books and such for me – I had gotten out of my reading thing…so I was happy to be back into it 🙂
Yesterday David had a delayed day of going in- Our parking lot was a royal freaking mess so I slept in a little bit so Marley wouldn’t want to be up running around and wanting to go out before some of it had melted so we could get out safely. I had my last Eric Church record come for the 61 days in church set and I never even went to the office to get it lol I made David go get it when he got home since I got lucky and David actually got home before they closde down there. I did a lot of random house stuff and watched Another World/ Read 🙂
Today I woke up (the 2nd time) in a fairly bad mood.. I didn’t have any plans really for the day. I talked to my mom and then Chisled my way out with Marley- our parking lot looks like some slushy something another- like the sidewalk is pretty clear but the rest of the parking lot/grass areas are .. hit and mess at the best. I kind of just have to wedge a path, pray and hope Marley doesn’t pull me the wrong way! Anyways, my mom called when we got back in and was going to go to the Dollar store. I was kinda like Meh, I don’t really need to go but I hadn’t been out since Saturday so I was like welll…..
We went to habitat first- they didn’t really have anything there but I did get this cute wine bottle light thing. It is like someone took a wine bottle and cut a hole out in the back and then stuck some lights (christmas ones) and some beads and yeah.. I have it sitting on the dresser lol it is so me. then we went to the dollar tree and that was just hit and miss. There were 900 million people in there I swear .. barley got a place to park and my mom had to look at EVERYTHING. I got some chips, but that is about it !
Of course, I need to go grocery shopping and of course I Held off because I had not felt well Friday + I thought we might be in a situation where we might loose power so I didn’t want to risk it. Anyways, my mom wanted to run in Aldi like a quick little grab a few things she needed thing- so I went along.
I had my list with me (that I haven’t finished) and I almost was like well lets just go ahead and get what I have- and we’ll grab the rest another day… because I know my mom had said originally she was going to go out with My dad tomorrow evening since they were getting off work early – anyways it is a good thing we didn’t either one have the intentions to go on an actual grocery trip…. because they are FREAKING WIPED OUT….I got some chips, summer sausage and some salad mix but other than that… lol it was a no go- they were out of like EVERYTHING
Tomorrow night is David and dads work Christmas party. As far as I know my mom and dad aren’t going but we are. I don’t know if I am going to get her to watch marley for us or just leave Marley here or what. I won’t be gone too horribly long so it doesn’t mater really. ..If I can just make it through the weekend I will worry about the groceries sometime early next week (and we have a pizza, cube steak , meatloaf and can eat out, etc so we’re all good!)
Right now it is getting up in the day and I need to go take Mars out and finish some random house stuff up so i’m out- catch ya later gators
