I will receive a copy of the book in exchange for promoting it and the related events! As you all know I am a huge book lover but hate reviewing them I have never done a book tour before but I thought this might be the way for me to go on that level!
As you all may know- I have been on a mission to unclutter my house for a few weeks and have made some great progress- even though it seems that the more I do, the more I have to do! I think at this point the last few things I have to do are:
My Closet- finish the right shelf, the pants hanging in the back and the tub of random what not that needs put away -and the bag of pants.
The Outside Closet- not sure if I am going here or not lol
My Bathroom – straighten/organize/clean out
If you knew what a CHORE and Nemesis my closet has been you’d be wanting to totally celebrate just the progress I made in there so far! I have at several points done a mini session in there and went through and done a minimal amount of work just so you can see the floor or whatever but as far as actually going through it, that hasn’t happened in YEARS. Do you have a spot in your house like that? I think we all do!
I also think that we can all use inspiration when it comes to these sorts of spots, and even in general. I am doing mine because I want to have a huge amazing yard sale- but even better- I bet you anything I could go back through and get a TON more to add but there are some things it just seems that you keep on holding on to and you don’t know why exactly!
When I saw this book called Year of No Clutter- I thought – Wow what a perfect time for this to come into my world- here is a little bit about the book:
Everyone eats. Everyone sleeps. Everyone accumulates stuff.
The hilarious author of Year of No Sugar, Eve Schaub, returns with her new memoir, Year of No Clutter, to tackle the issue of “things.” Specifically, the 576-square-foot room in her house that is overflowing with stuff she can’t bring herself to throw away, like her fifth grade report card and pieces of plaster wall stuffed in a box.
Year of No Clutter is more than the tale of how one woman organized an entire room in her house that had been filled with pointless items, it’s a deeply inspiring, and frequently hilarious, examination of why we keep stuff in the first place, and how to let it all go.
You can find it Available March 7 at Amazon, Barnes & Noble, IndieBound and Books-A-Million.
I can’t wait to get a copy of this book, because even though it might come after my big yard sale clean out, I bet you it will inspire me to make another pass through the house! There can be another yard sale later on!
