There are MANY coming attractions coming to Carowinds in 2016, but one of the most recent announcements was announced last week and it is a 3D version of Plants Vs Zombies called Plants Vs Zombies Garden Warfare:3z Arena!. It is a game that will be exclusive to Carowinds and is expected to open in the spring of 2016!
Now I have limited knowledge about Plants Vs Zombies in general, go ahead and laugh – it’s o.k it won’t hurt my feelings! However I am vaguely familiar with it, and I know that it is something that David has played in the past so at least I am not totally in the dark, and I am actually interested and excited to be able to check this out when it is open!
I am such a chicken for some reason since I have gotten older, and I usually stick to the more tame things at carowinds, so I think that this would be something else that I would like to be able to add to my list of favorites! Not that I don’t ride a few things that aren’t considered a little more out there, but you won’t catch me on the Fury 325 anytime soon L(
A few highlights about the attraction are:
- 68 motion-based seats equipped with hand-held laser devices
- Nearly 3,600 square foot arena
- Two 14’6″ x 26′ screen with independent 5.1 surround sound
- The attraction will run approximately ten times per hour to accommodate between 600-700 people
- Players will be able to purchase photos in the Plants vs. Zombies™ Garden Warfare: 3Z Arena retail store
- Plants vs. Zombies™ Garden Warfare: 3Z Arena will be located inside the newly transformed Action Theater located in the County Fair section of the park.
I am really looking forward to checking this out and learning more about it next year! I think it will be a pretty big hit , especially since plants vs zombies is such a popular game and it appeals to people of multiple ages. I like the fact as well that this is not expanding the coasters or the water park, but it is more of an “attraction” as well 🙂 I can’t wait for this and all the awesome things coming up next year at Carowinds!
