Lately it seems like everyone I know has came up with a Cricut machine ! I Know that after my mom and dads wreck one of their neighbors sister ended up giving an older one to my mom and several of the cartridges to my mom and then my aunt got one of the newer ones for Christmas. I am still over here waiting for one to appear for me, which I don’t see happening but if you believe and your heart is pure right? I just think that it is one of the only sort of crafty things other than embroidery that I might be able to get into, but who knows because I don’t have either ha ha! I know that Jackie (My Aunt) has been using hers to decorate different things they have gotten from the pallet sales to kind of punch some of the plainer things up a notch..
Honestly, some of the things they have like tumblers and stuff if they could have them done up with the best stainless steel laser marking and still maybe turn some sort of profit, they might want to look into that… but for her intents and purposes the cricut might be a cheaper and better alternative!
I can’t believe all the crazy random things that they get on the pallet.. and some of it has been super nice. I have gotten Too Face Make Up and even a Kate Spade purse and a furbo camera just to name a few random things! I even got David some beats headphones at one point, a record player and a salt lamp. I have gotten so many things though, there is no way that I could possibly name them all.. and most of it has been from just trading my coupon stuff to them to sale, that way I got it free/super cheap and I turn it into things that I might want more so it is super fun! Back in the beginning when they first started doing it I had some nicer stuff and I was selling for cash, but the trading thing is working really well for me… I just don’t have anything else to trade right now!
They have had everything from hair color to compression socks, similar to those that you would find at www.legioncompressionsocks.com – I mean they have had some of the nicest things you can think of. I do get a bit jealous because I think it would be super fun to have a pallet thing, but when we tried to do it with my mom and dad , we just don’t know enough people to make things work!
You know it is a good business for them, and they can work from home for the most part. I know that people actually were stopping by on black Friday and shopping when we were there- and then they do deliveries all day sometimes 2 days a week- so they really do a have a lot of freedom in what they do. If they ever got super into it and wanted to have an actual business though , they may perhaps have to find a best commercial real estate lawyer to help with things depending on the route they would want to go
