Let’s face it Scary isn’t for everyone- especially if you have younger kids. I know that I am not even a big fan of scary things! You have probably heard of Carowinds even for older kids & adults called Scarowinds which takes place at nighttime (I personally have always been scared of the dark even in regular circumstances in case you were curious) and they do tend to get in your personal space at that event a little bit- and then all the fake fog too- so I can see why you wouldn’t exactly want to take your child to that sort of environment.
However, they do not have to be left out of the festivities- You can take them in the DAYTIME to THE GREAT PUMPKIN FEST. I have not ever been- I think I might be too old but it does seem like it would be a blast! Here are some of the awesome activities you can participate in on Saturdays & Sundays from 11 a/m to 5 p/m (until next weekend!)
I am highlighting a few of the “non halloween” types of things you can do because when I was a child I was that “weird kid that couldn’t participate in halloween things” believe me Scarowinds would have been a def. NO but there are things that are just simply fall related that even if you are in a similar type of situation you can still participate!

I think that there is really something for everyone in this little event and if I was down that way when the event was taking place I would def. have to check it out!
