Hey Everyone
well.. the big vague thing didn’t work out 🙁 I am /was pretty bummed about it and really don’t feel like hashing out all the details right now. It just wasn’t meant to be apparently and maybe when I am not trying to do 50 things at one time I will sit and write up the details.
I am trying to perk myself back up and get back into blogging- it seems like July was just a bust with David being on Vacation, Me being sick, and then the whole vague thing.. and probably just the general lazy or blog bah humbugs that I get every now and then! I am hoping to really hit things full force with blogging, housework, and everything really. I am going to try to find my gummy vitamins I was taking and try to do a bit better with things. right now my main nemesis is waking up at 330 a/m and not being able to get back to sleep- I always have this notion that when this happens to get up and blog or do some sort of quiet activity and I am thinking more and more seriously about taking action on that! I really can’t wait until fall!
I can’t wait till I know i’ll be sitting here on sunday watching football, eating pizza, drinking beer and writing reviews lol 🙂
I want to do some writing prompts, do some instagram challenge (s) for this month and then weed through pitches and get my holiday gift guide square. As far as in the house there is always a cabinet or drawer or closet that I can go through while I keep up with dishes and trying to figure out stuff to cook and laundry! Oh and speaking of laundry…
We had been thinking about getting a new washer and dryer- well let me correct that- that was a thought David had- there wasn’t really anything wrong with our washer- it was my moms and when it had something go wonky with it she bought a new one and then my dad fixed hers and since our agitator in our old one wasn’t working we just switched. Our dryer though has been a bit in need of replacement for a good while- maybe 3 years or more- we basically have to dry things for 2 hours or longer- so it was def. running our power bill up and there was an issue. I think at one point we were having the belt slip too.
Anyways, I wasn’t looking forward to having to spend $900 + for a low end cheap washer and dryer + they don’t come with any plugs, delivery would be extra and installation so.. I told David to hold off and maybe someone here would move and be selling theirs. That was on Friday…
Saturday we noticed our upstairs neighbor who has lived here since just a few weeks after we did- was moving and David just randomly asked him did he have anything for sale and he had said yes. David asked him if he happened to have a washer and dryer for sale? and he said yes I have a set I would let go for $200 and he went to look at it and came back and told me. I was like just regular plain ones and he said no they were front loading and I got excited lol
Turns out they were Maytag Neptume and were likely $1300 a piece brand new. I saw them on craigslist for $600. Basically our neighbor was just going to leave them behind because he didn’t want to move them. We quickly agreed to buy them but to move them we couldn’t do more than put them in the hall until my mom and dad got home so my dad could help move them (THEY ARE HEAVY!!!) My parents were out of town but would be back around 4- they actually got back while David was gone to get some chinese for dinner lol.
THEY ARE OMG NICE and in great shape. I can now dry in like 15 minutes (sheets) 45 min (load of colors ) so I am beyond happy. I like how they sense the load size and everything too- way more nice than anything we ever had. Dad took the dryer out to the quarry where david and him work and scrapped it and then we went over there yesterday and helped unload the washer. I think that my mom will put it in the yardsale or something not sure
today I am of course trying to get things going like I mentioned before- worked on a little bit of review ,etc etc. right now I am getting ready to make me a pitcher of tea and see what I can get into 🙂 More later!
