There are a few things in this world I don’t think I could make it without! You know there are the basics like, food and water and shelter..family and friends..the things people would commonly mention and be grateful for!
Another big one for me , even though it sounds so first world ,is: the joy of high speed internet! I had dial up internet for YEARS and YEARS I didn’t know the things I was missing like watcing videos and all that good stuff for the longest time! I did have pretty decent internet when I was at Appalachian State, it was included with my rent. Think about having it and then when you have to come back home bam! you are back on dialup. It sucked!!
David and I used tethering from our cell phones with only 5gb internet total for goodness knows how long. It worked for us, but it wasn’t all that great because even though we could do a few things on it better than we could on dial up, but we still couldn’t really stream or download or anything like that.
I hate to even admit that my mom had decent internet before we did! When I finally found out how to get it done (I was under the impression that you had to have home phone service) Then we went out and got it immediately!
We also don’t have cable so having high speed internet has been great with being able to use for netflix and hulu and even youtube! Also, David appreciates it for his gaming on the ps3! I think we have about 5 or more devices connected to our wifi at any given time! I don’t know how we ever went with out it!
