I was just thinking about how much I miss going to school sometimes.. obviously I mean college and of course I miss certain things about it more than others. I mean I REALLY miss going to 4 year school because it was so fun and it was in Boone and all of that sort of thing. However , I even miss when I was living in town and I could walk to school and that sort of thing too!
Oh, and of course I miss certain teachers and classes more than others too. For example? I never was very good at science and I actually failed Anatomy when I took it in high school by like 1 point believe it or not! It was my senior year and I missed a lot of school there at the end because my cousin was really sick and actually died right before my graduation. I actually almost didn’t get to participate in the actual graduation because of it- which wouldn’t have bothered me that much, but still. Anyways, I was super excited when I took anatomy again in college and passed it with flying colors and my teacher was an absolute trip and a half. She was Romanian and she was sarcastic and awesome! Of course we had a really long lab time and spent a lot of time looking at models and such like you can find if you click here now
I was laughing just the other day, watching an episode of Girl Meets World where they were doing Science and Mya was being super lazy about doing this experiment with Lucas- and it made me think of when I took Astronomy and I was like that with my friend Jason (ex boyfriend, still friends) however astronomy was a bit easier for me than say Chemistry!
I have got to remember to ask David if they have been blasting at the quarry today- I know that sometimes when they are and if it is super cloudy or rainy when they let off the shot sometimes you can feel it here at the apartments and I swear I thought I felt a little shake while ago…I also wonder if they use something like an accelerometer like they sell through Durham Instruments? I don’t know that David would know if they do or not, but my dad probably would know more of the particulars, especially since he has worked out there almost 32 years! I mean I know David has worked there almost 12, which is pretty crazy to be as young as he his and to have had a job for that long somewhere- it is kind of not heard of in this day and time- but it wasn’t an easy job to get, and we dealt with a lot of those 90 day temp jobs back in the day! It is pretty nice to be more stable!
Oh, and since it is on my mind since I mentioned my Dad there, I was actually thinking about my mom had a poof or something with their buck stove the other day and I wanted to see if they ever figured out what happened with that- if it was the wind being crazy or if it was a more serious problem? I don’t think they would have to worry about anything serious since they maintain everything pretty well but they might have to look into something similar to https://thechimneyscientist.com/certifications-inspections/
