This is NOT all that I want to write relating to this subject, but it is a good start 🙂 So if you see something similar but longer on here you’ll have to forgive me- it is something that I am passionate about – If I can remember I’ll try to just link to this post if it will work lol.
I am talking bout when the webs were young ya’ll. I’m talking about when you weren’t a “blogger” you were a webmaster/mistress and you had a website. Back when things were simple and fun. When you actually CONNECTED with others and left comments & were more than likely on someones message board that seriously rocked and connected EVEN FURTHER. Back when I could LEAVE COMMENTS ON.
The one thing that sucked though about back then was You don’t know how many awesome folks I lost touch with because back then there wasn’t social media to be able to get to that level. If you were lucky you *might* know someones last name or have an old out dated email for them/ old messenger names (does anyone use ICQ/MSN/AIM/YAHOO anymore? )Â Oh, and don’t even get me started on the people I lost touch with from my soap opera world/sites/ RPG’s and CHATROOMS.
I want TAG BOARDS. WEB CAMS / WEB CAM PORTALS. SIDEBARS with cool random shit. DOLLZ. BLINKIES. COOL random subpages.I am sure there are more things but those are off top my head! and good god a nice message board to hang out. Not one with a bunch of troll bitches! (there is another word i’d use that starts with a C but.. heyyy.) I mean I was on boards with nice like minded folks and everyone GOT ALONG imagine that crap?!! It was witchery. I know one of the boards I was on did have some girls that trolled but it was mostly along the lines of posting nasty pics- not actually BEING NASTY!!
Yesterday I went down a mini rabbit hole that I have went on before: looking up some of my old sites – the ones that I actually remember the URLS for- I didn’t pull out any flashdrives or anything where I have stuff saved because the new macbook doesn’t have USB ports ? (I have to get an adapter) + with my headache I wasn’t trying to get too involved. Anyways I actually managed to get one of my top 2 fave boards to actually load from internet wayback machine and I actually found my profile and a few of my posts and I was SO excited. I would LOVE To be able to have that sort of thing again.
