I will be making a seperate post related to my g.grandmother, so for now i just have this to say
Thursday:Traveled to Virginia/Went to Evening service for my g.grandmothers funeral.
Friday: went to the chapel service of my g.grandmothers funeral. I opted out of going to the graveyard/dinner back at my grandparents
on the way home my thermostat started sticking. this was about …2 1/2 hours into the trip (and we left from in town , instead of on the mountain so i was at least 3hrs away from anyone who could help) and about an hour and half at least from being home. actually where we started having the problems was right around where we bought our marriage license.
we pulled over and called my dad, and before this david had pulled the cap off the radiator (hint…boiling extremely hot fluids DONT EVER DO THAT!! we are lucky he didn’t get third degree burns) anyways we moved the car off an exit and happened to get right beside a big ass water hole. we got going again and we made it nearly 50 miles before we encountered problems again. we pulled off at a bp station and waited again for it to cool down/ put in more water.we only waited like 15min though…
we got less than a mile down the road and had to stop at the rest stop. at this point we were stressed out and aggravated really bad. we were going to get davids mom/her boyfriend to come bring us a thermostat but by the time we’d been there like an hour they still hadn’t even left to go get the thermostat! so my dad said fluid it up and try to go on if we wanted. (and we were getting closer to home/places we knew where auto part stores, etc were)
we basically made it to the advanced auto over where my parents live (15 or so min from here) before we started heating up just a little bit. we then made it on home. a 4 hr trip took nearly 7!!
saturday my dad came over to help put the thermostat on, after they had gotten home. well when david went to go get us some pizza he noticed it was starting to use lots of fluids and was experiencing a lost in power. apparently we have either cracked the head, or the head gasket. the head gasket is 50 bucks, and a head is .. in the hundreds!!
my dad decided to let us buy his 89 toyota camry. I used to drive this car at one point. he says we can just give him 100 bucks a check till we pay him off.
i spent today getting everything “legal” as in
had to go to the insurance office to get the insurance switched
got to the tag office and find out that 1. i don’t know the tag # i was switching from and 2. it had to have an inspection first (dad thought it was good till the end of july)
i had a guy that david/dad works with to go out and get me the tag number
i also had to end up getting david to leave work to get the inspection.
i went to transfer 30 bucks from my credit card to my checking account, which sounded simple enough
WRONG
is anything EVER simple with BB&T?
they had a freaking block on my account! and to find out it was supposed to be because of “fradulant activity”
you know what it was
where we transfered 5 bucks on saturday.
allegedly the block was removed. but I still can’t transfer any money
so we are cancelling our checking account with them. david already has got an account at 5th 3rd and filled out his direct deposit info!
ok i’m out for now…gonna try to catch up with your alls blogs 🙂
