I was kind of always the friend that had the things that everyone else wanted when I was a child because I always got so many awesome things at thrift shops and yardsales and my mom and grandma were always finding something for me! Of course I didn’t do Christmas as a child , but we had this awesome thing in the fall called “The Feast” and It was pretty much a week long fun trip where I pretty well got whatever I wanted!
I know that makes me sound spoiled but I mean there were always limits- plus it usually was a ton of books that were from this awesome used book store we had found at the beach. I know some people think I am OMG SO SPOILED because I am an ONLY CHILD and got whatever I wanted- but like I Say you have to consider the things I wanted- books, thrift shop trips,etc.. I am cheap gal and really easy to please 🙂
A lot of times if one of my friends got something that I didn’t have I would strike up some sort of deal with my Dad to get it if it was something pricey. I remember doing that with my CD Player- He said if at any time that semester I got an A in Math let him know- and I did 🙂
I just don’t really ever remember being all that envious of what others had because I always had so much and I had things that they didn’t and all that kind of thing. I liked having unique stuff (you can tell that has always been a thing for me)
