Hey Everyone
Well now today here in the south we have the white stuff big time- but while most of it is snow we have been getting a lot of sleet/ice! I want to get some pictures but I don’t want to 1. get cold 2.get pelted in the head with ice and 3. there have been so many people in and out of the place and kids running around that it isn’t so awful nice looking. I do intend to try a little bit later to at least get a few -i’ll stand on the patio and on the breezeway for the most part and use my big zoomy lens though 🙂
You probably notice I am working on the blogathon this weekend and I have been working on those reviews and whatnot that I have been wanting to get done. I am a little bit slower than normal but I am watching Tv and then David is home and everything but still I feel productive so that is just fine and dandy with me. If I can get TWO More reviews done I will feel really really good 🙂
Last night David and I had to run to walmart when he got home from work- they had already cancelled his work for today and it hadn’t even done anything. I thought it would have been funny if it went to 70 and sunny or something! Â Anyways walmart was OMG wiped.. I mean NO WATER , meat, bread.. yes we are in the south but my goodness people snow is not that bad! Now Ice is- SKETCHY and not so fun. ..Also- if people were to loose power I don’t think that they would be able to make half the crap they bought! I know if we were to loose power we’d go to my mom and dads because they likely would still have it as they have all their stuff underground and it is a different provider.
Anyways when we went to bed there wasn’t a thing going on and it was around midnight. When i woke up at 3 there was what I would call a skip of snow….but around 5 i was awake and it was crazy looking- and still pretty. I should have taken pics then. Anyways I never like to went back to sleep. I finally did get back to sleep and all these crazy kids started going nuts and people were leaving in and out and what not so I just went ahead and got up and got things started.
David did bust out and go get a few more things while ago because if this keeps up all today and tomorrow like they claim we likely won’t get out again. I know that they had just cleared the main road when David went out … and walmart was a bit more stocked. I would love to try to get to my moms if we could but I’m not gonna worry about it I don’t guess.
I will be making a yummy cube steak and brown gravy potato meal in my instant pot tonight (ok well the potatoes will be on the stove because they are instant lol) but I am looking forward to that too.
Right now I am off for coffee and a tiny bit of a break and then back to work 🙂
