Hey Everyone
Things here have been SUPER SUPER – SUPER crazy the last little bit. I mean honestly,it has been THAT KIND OF YEAR- Oh, OK .. almost 2 years now if we want to get technical… I mean big things have been happening – and they just don’t seem to STOP. Thankfully, we have all came out on the other side fine you know?
The last little bit I haven’t seemed to feel all that great more than ever before- It seems like it is ALWAYS something- from girly issues to just not getting the proper amount of sleep (nothing new there ha ha- I just never can seem to narrow the right kind of sleep plan down no matter what I try- but I thrive on trying, and in some ways things have gotten better!
My nighttime sleep isn’t the problem at all- it is that time between David leaving and me actually getting up- which is THE WORST because it is so dark, and I don’t have THAT MUCH TO DO- most of the time. I am hoping things may change when the time changes! Also, With this time of the year I can look into things like Anthonys Espresso to help with waking me up, right?
One of my latest greatest little projects has been working on making a weekly/bi-weekly menu of not just dinners but of breakfasts & lunches as well- well the breakfasts and lunches are more for David than myself because I am not the biggest breakfast person- and the things I’ve been doing for lunch aren’t really my kinds of things- I generally eat a sandwich or a salad for lunch since forever. As far as breakfast goes- it isn’t that I am not up that early exactly, but for some reason I am not usually able to keep food down that early for some reason. I don’t know if it is because the food is heavy or what- I do know that breakfast is the most important meal of the day though- and when I see things like Freedom Jars breakfast delivery it does make me want to change my ways.
I have done really well though with the meal planning and such since August.. I just ended up getting a really awesome resource to work with and it all fell into place and I have been sticking with it! David needed to be healthier with his food anyways- we kind of found that out early on in the year and had worked on it a little bit but had gotten sided tracked. I have a awesome printable for grocery list and one for the actual menu. I was always saying I was going to go through all my cookbooks and pinterest stuff and things i’ve printed and saved and maybe someday I will but I found some more healthy options we are working with for now. I have another resource I plan to check into as well so we will see how it goes! It isn’t nearly as stressful for me, and we are saving money because it was like we were spending $75 JUST for david’s lunch(which was mostly junk!) every two weeks, running short and going to the store for dinner was just hit and miss, and breakfast wasn’t happening AT ALL. Now I’m spending that for EVERYTHING pretty much!
One thing I am wanting to check out sometime another soon is we have a brewery right out here that is supposed to – of all things- have amazing pizza on Tuesdays ONLY … now I am about the most picky person on this PLANET when it comes to pizza (because of my weird thing with cheese, that I swear is probably a texture thing more than anything- though, most of it I can’t stand the smell of and it makes me want to throw up- seriously if i smell like mac n cheese I will start heaving majorly!) I do eat cheese its and stuff like that though- and pizza- only if the cheese is more like a burnt kind of thing going on. Oh, and the only pizza worth of me is CAPONES in Boone NC. I have literally went all the way there to eat pizza and come home!
Another reason that I want to check the brewery out is NOT because of the beer though, believe it or not. I mean I like wine and beer just fine, but I don’t really like craft beer so much. The reason is , it is supposed to be super pretty and done up! I am not sure if they have something like Glassrailings.ca but there is supposed to be an upstairs and I hear nice things! They even have a yoga class out there sometimes on saturday mornings that I would like to check out if David ever has a saturday he doesn’t have to work!
