Hey My Lovelies!
Well, today is a dreary one – which I mean not shocked with this storm moving in! I meant to write a few more things yesterday but I got caught up playing with Anchor.fm- it is this pod cast making thingy and I have actually considered doing one before but just haven’t. I think it is more for me than video blogs! I know last year around this time I was messing around with the audio recorder on my windows laptop when I still had it and I liked it. Really though, even if I don’t end up doing a pod cast I like being able to ramble and get some things out sometimes that I might not feel like writing!
Yesterday was productive around the house- I did everything BUT straighten the pantry lol.. I might hit that up here in a bit after I get chummy with some coffee though. I was thinking about seeing if my mom wanted to hit up CM but we did just go last Thursday so I figure she won’t go back until maybe next week. I hope though that maybe she’ll start doing some couponing again soon because I miss that a ton! I do some on my own every now and then of course but it has been a good while since I got some really awesome deals so I could post on here
I ALWAYS say I am going to post my thrift shop finds on here but I never manage to do it for some reason. I think because most of the time it is clothes and by the time I get home and wash and dry them i’m like oh screw it, and just put them away! I know the last few times I went to CM they haven’t had much on the purse side of things- but I have done well with shoes. I got a practically new pair of New Balances and a pair of rain boots last go- and they were like $90 boots! I love having little feet lol
I know at Habitat I got the planet earth DVD set and 2 sets of breaking bad and didn’t even pay $8 so that was cool. They seem to always have better books and DVD’s there for some reason. CM is good for clothes , purses, shoes and random things. It is so funny because I used to not like habitat at all!
I am wanting a new couch though-and it will likely come from there. CM has another store right up from them that is part of them for furniture but I have only ever been in there once and I didn’t really see anything that impressed me. We saw a couch last week that I kind of liked but when my mom went back up there on Saturday it was already sold. The same thing happened a . few weeks back too ha ha.
I guess when I find the one I truly want i’ll snag it then. David already said he didn’t care as long as it was in good shape and not white. Our current couch is a very nice couch but it is white and we have had it a while, and even with a couch cover it is GRUBY looking a smidge so.. yeah.
I can tell that this storm is moving in because my head is KILLING ME .. but then again I seemingly keep headaches in the summer so i’m not shocked. Just have to get some advil and keep on keepin on you know?
I did find out something interesting yesterday about flooding here though. They actually have already started lowering the lake (smart ha ha) and we are actually upstream- all of the flooding would be more south because of the way things are set up. Really here we would be more to worry about the power going out and such… which my parents have a generator so if I had to- like if it was out for several days I could snag our freezer stuff and fridge stuff and take it over there-I am pretty sure my dad actually already stocked up on gas for it
I am helping out with a blogger group on facebook- actually it was my idea to put all the stuff in a group instead of a message so I am an honorary admin 🙂 I needed something “new” to mess with and I really don’t think I would want to do my own group like BE again even though sometimes I do get the thought that I would like it. Too much D R A M A even for me
I need to catch up on my photo a day pics today. somewhere along the lines my instagram and fb connection got messed up so I have to post everything twice because it will not let me fix it lol- maybe i can look into that today too.
I actually just talked to my mom on FB messenger (I said I don’t keep it on my phone not that I don’t use it at all lol) anyways she had that surgery on her hand 6 weeks ago yesterday and some how another her hand has gotten infected (her wrist) and it popped and it is just all kinda not good and she says it did again while ago. for some reason her stitches haven’t disolved yet. well they wanted her to go into town but where all the traffic from the coast is coming this way it just isn’t a good idea to do that so.. eek! Now she’s sending me pics of her hand and she knows how squeemish I am lol
well I will write some more in a bit. have to get off here for a few minutes and make some coffee and take Mars bar out 🙂 Maybe I’ll get Spry and post some pics of stuff you never ever know 🙂 Oh and I need to get up a swagbucks post and the main part for the gift guide 🙂 fun stufffsss 🙂
