Hi Everyone
SO, I know I have pretty well been missing in action this entire year, and I do apologize for that. Blogging just hasn’t been my cup of tea for a while. It has been super hard with COVID and my not getting out of the house very much- which we all know I am a homebody to start with, and didn’t get out very much before covid- but COVID pretty well has halted my couponing, thrift shopping, etc. I pretty well only get out to go to the grocery store and maybe to my mom and dads! So, with everything so limited and everything seemingly being same ole, same ole most days- + this and that well.. blogging has kind of fell away for me!
After my big holiday gift guide + my myrtle beach trip a few years ago, I honestly did have blogger burn out, and then I got really interested in reading so I kind of went with that for a good while. I tried to get back into things and mix things up with the couponing content, and then my mom and dad had their wreck 2 years ago, and things were just starting to be normal when COVID became a thing. I have been in a big rut ever since!
I am hoping to get back into things though. As far as am I planning to do a gift guide this year? The simple answer is YES I would love to. I want to keep it kind of small, not sure about the details.. I thought about just maybe offering placements , ad space, shout outs and maybe links in relevant posts VS full fledged in depth reviews but I don’t know just quite yet. I know, usually by now I’d have had a graphic up and been looking for stuff by now! I have actually a few ideas though, so I am going to maybe work on some of it today if I can! Ih ave been getting a few pitches that I might consider and I have my own ideas so we can see how it goes
A lot of what I am interested in relates to SOBER OCTOBER. Now, I wasn’t exactly sure if I wanted to bring that up or not, but.. I am not that embarrassed about trying it out! I am not by any means saying I have a problem, and if I want to try to cut out alcohol in any manner I think it should be something to be supported and not judged- and if you want to judge well.. thats on you! I am trying to better myself. I am considering writing up an account of my experiences maybe daily or semi-daily and getting more into it. I am very interested in alcohol free spirits, wines, adaptagens, etc.
I think my main focus for holiday gift guide might work around sober holidays, healthy stuff, food, etc so we’ll see what I can find. I know that last year I had several sponsors at one point but they kept pulling out so I ended up not getting anywhere.
Well, I hope to get back on here in a few and update ya’ll some more on things. I also would like to start maybe sharing meal planning stuff freezer meals and that sort of thing.. so we’ll see how it goes!
Right now i need a shower, pop a meal in the crockpot and try to get going- I have been feeling like i’m fighting a cold for about 3 days- had a sore throat and kinda ran down feeling, but no fever…. so i’ll be back hopefully in a bit!
