You know when I think about it- I probably don’t do a whole awful lot to protect my privacy as far as blog and social media goes. If you know my main screen name you can pretty much find me anywhere and find link back to my blog. I mean I don’t go around posting stuff from my blog on my facebook because I Have always tried to keep people from my family from going to my blog, but in recent years I have linked my blogs facebook to my page so I figure there are probably people who read it and never say a word about it!
I mean I really don’t write that much that is so very SUPER PERSONAL anymore but.. some of it is still around + sometimes I know family stuff that I am not neccessairly supposed to know but.. I have gotten lucky because apparently people know how i feel about that sort of thing. You come here you read it that is cool beans but don’t tell me or anyone else about it/what you read
I think this goes back to the fact that I use my site not only for reviews and general ramblings but at some points it is more like a journal at times as well so.. I don’t know .. in the long run I just don’t think I care anymore. I am who I am. I have done what I have done. My past helped shaped me but it doesn’t define me and that sort of thing!
As far as my name goes I go by my middle name and married name instead of first and maiden for the most part. If I post something online like a picture of a package or something with my last name on it I try to crop it out or something of the sorts. A good example of this is I have posted my wedding invitations in the past and I cropped that stuff out.. I also cropped out my grandparents last names and the location of the wedding (even though you wouldn’t find it on a map and would just have to know where it is!) The other day one of my prompts for photo a day was paper and David wanted me to post our Marriage license and I was like ugh no too much cropping and he’s like ?? and im like no way I don’t put my name out there like that just for the general public!
Used to be I wouldn’t ever even post a picture of me online! I don’t think I started posting pics of me until maybe 2006 or so and that would have just been a profile pic for facebook which back then was only for college students 🙂
