Hey Everyone
Well.. now I admit I did not get anything online or in my house done this weekend , but I still feel accomplished. Let me explain ha ha.
Saturday David and I were trying to decide what to get for lunch and hadn’t figured out what we wanted yet (plus really didn’t want to spend any money either of course) So of all random things my mom called and wanted us to come eat a late lunch/early dinner and we were like sure o.k- even though it was pouring snow it wasn’t really sticking)
Well David had found this place in S.C that had pallets of different things for sale from various stores and what not and he had got very interested in getting one since one of my moms brothers had gotten one. Anyways my dad had been interested as well for quite a while and after we ate we all ended up going to go check this place out!
Well My dad was interested in tools, david was hopeful for either just a random walmart pallet or a microwave pallet and my mom and I were kinda just along for the ride- though I thought walmart pallet would be pretty awesome because that is what my uncle has been getting.
The walmart pallet that they had was mostly water filters from what I could see. It was nice that most of these pallets the guy had opened up and you could kind of poke around and look and see what you were getting for the most part. .. though some were more wrapped and packaged than others. Well my mom and I found this lot from staples and we were seeing like poptarts and soap and all kinds of random stuff. In size and amount as far as stuff wise it was probably the largest pallet that they had. So if you couldn’t guess we ended up buying it!
It was way taller than the cab of the truck and was top heavy and we had about a 45 min ride to get it home so it was a little bit interesting getting on and off exists on the interstate. I swear like every exit we use is this big kiss your ass loop curve thing going on!
We get back to my mom and dads and unload it- there were 38 boxes total. Here are a few pics so you can get a visual 🙂
(You can see about 27 boxes of the 38 here) Some were behind me in the floor and one had a busted soap bottle so we had gotten rid of it)
Now like I say we did have a busted bottle of soap but it only got on a calendar so that wasn’t bad AT ALL .. I think other than that we had like one broke plastic organizer and one old desk calendar but for the most part everything has been o.k and in tact.
We basically just tried to get them in, peek in all the boxes and then David and my mom actually scanned some of the k-cups and soap to get an idea of prices and such. David actually even came home to check on Marley in the middle of all of this and we had decided to come home and go back the next day (yesterday)
We were going to go back at Lunch time but I told David maybe we should go early that way we could get started and it was a good thing because we ended up being there till 5:30 and we still had about 8 boxes to go but my mom has started working on some of those on her own. We made the facebook page, logo and banner for it and even ate some tacos + got about 100+ items up on facebook so it was a really busy day!
I am STILL wore out and very sore. I did a lot of going back and forth, moved a few boxes and spent a lot of time up and down in the floor trying to write on boxes and what not. I have a few random things that need done today but I am def. going to take it easy and rest for the most part! I am going to make the bed, straighten the couch, clean sams bowl and other than that.. .we’ll just have to see 🙂
