Hey Everyone
Well.. I had all intents and purposes to write after Christmas last week but things took a bit of a turn. Something kind of — odd and weird and sort of unexpected happened but – It isn’t something that I feel comfortable sharing here – it is something that I Haven’t even mentioned to anyone and it isn’t really my story to tell so- I’m just going to leave that at that!
Christmas day David’s dad and brother came over and then we ate chinese- which at least on the chinese part has became kind of a tradition. Then later on I went out to walgreens and got cranberry juice and Champagne and made cranberry mimosas and those were good. I think I might do those tonight for new years actually!
Wed evening I went over to my moms to grab our stuff from where we got pallet stuff from my uncle and what my grandma sent..
I finally went on my big grocery store trip, and with David no less ha ha. I remember at one point I had him BANNED from grocery store shopping with me because he used to drive me nuts with WHY DO WE NEED THIS WHAT IS THIS FOR and what not… .I lifted that ban a long time ago but it still usually works out that I go to the store with my mom so that was kinda different
Friday we ran to habitat and found a couch. Of course it was pouring rain and I wasn’t 100% sure about it. I really liked our old couch – but it was kind of annoying that it was white so it was kind of stained + I had to keep it covered and that couch cover was a pain to keep straight… and the cushions kind of always drooped and such but it was comfy in my opinion and nothing SERIOUSLY wrong with it. Anyways, David had been on a get a new couch kick for a while but I couldn’t /we couldn’t agree/find one. My mom had a $10 off coupon for a $50 or more purchase so I just had her come look at the couch and see what she thought. We ended up getting it for $40 and then we picked it up on Saturday. It is SO huge though lol.
Friday evening I spent making up some freezer meals- I ended up waiting on doing 3 (x2) and I actually finished those up yesterday morning. My girly time has decided to make a visit so that kind of has been killing me but I got it done !! We also went over to my moms because my mom made this thing called cornbread salad that David had never had in the 11.5 years he’s been in the family – usually if it gets made at my grandmas it gets gone in a hurry. My dad had been in the family 20 years before he ever knew it existed. It has sour cream and cheese so it isn’t something I eat anyways lol. I had dried beans (green… they are so good) and fried potatoes – and I have some left so that is probably my lunch.
Today is the first day i’ve had in while to myself but since my girl stuff is kicking my butt- I prob just read some…but I do need to put away some clothes and make the bed.. and I kind of want to work on some kitchen cabinets/drawers.. kind of doing that first of the year purge ha ha.
just wanted to write while I had a few. David will be off again tomorrow so… i’ll try to catch ya’ll sometime in the new year 🙂
