Hey Everyone
Well.. Today is a little different than I thought it would be – because I figured i’d be trying to get things together so we could go to my grandmas tomorrow but… with all the rain and possibly even snow – we just don’t really want to be traveling in that in general , but when you add in that we have Marley and you have to stop for her and we don’t want her getting all wet & muddy and such (because you never know where you might have to stop you know)
Also , I didn’t even know that David thought we were traveling with my mom and Dad until last night! I was like NO.. they are leaving today and he was like whaaat? lol I was like um.. yah.. lol so.. It is all good. If it was an actual holiday or something I might would feel really bad, but with going into the spring/summer it should make for easier travel and events and /or random trips so.. no big deal. I would have rather called it early that we weren’t going instead of waiting last minute. Oh, and I figure we can always leave Marley with my mom one weekend and go up so it will be o.k!
I have been in a rather snarky mood- ha ha well, that is me always- but the last few days or so it is just edging its way out. I try to just keep my mouth shut and stay off of facebook lol… One thing that got me going is people who get so bent out of shape about Valentines day. First of all, Feb is one of my fave months of the year because of my Birthday and also, David and I got engaged in Feb, so even if there wasn’t Valentines day I would still probably be getting goodies. I mean 99% of what I get is from either A. a thrift shop B. a yardsale C. my mom or D my grandma or E David. Mostly Sales & Clearance items or Coupon Items.. so if We want to go out to eat *which btw have to eat dinner either way right?* and he gets me a box of chocolate i’m not going to sit here and think that it is JUST because of V day. NOPE. I mean any time that someone wants to take me out to dinner, I am NOT going to turn it down- those are just things that I think any Wife loves to hear no matter what day it happens to be!
I actually got the chocolate he got me last month, and my letter board and the stuffed owl were kind of early birthday/engage-a-versary stuff… I don’t know .. I just get super riled that people act like someone doing something nice for someone else is a bad thing. Oh, and the flowers I got were from the office here at the apt place and was only 4 little carnations that I didn’t even bother putting in a vase lol. I think i’m just so simplistic …
I think part of my snark is coming in from couponing. I have had several really good transactions and ones that just had minor snags but on Wed I had the WORST experience ever and I still really can’t figure out exactly what they ended up doing to “fix” it because it ended up costing me $2 more than it should have. It all was right the first time it went through but my extra bucks didn’t generate because my $4 off $20 beauty wouldn’t go thru so this guy price adjusted items and it didn’t generate my extra bucks because of it .. which threw a big snafu and .. yeah.. *breathes* I may not ever figure out exactly what happened there.
Also, I am having girly time from you know where so that probably is part of the snark as well lol
I am pretty behind on reading and photo a day. honestly photo a day was getting on my nerves with the prompts..
if anyone was curious about my dad.. he didn’t loose any part of his thumb.. Basically the part that is cut will grow off after about 3 months and everything will be fine … he has to keep it super clean soak it in epsom salt water so..that is a good thing – we were really worried there for a while!
well, I am going to get off here and find some lunch and see what me and the fur folks can get into- maybe reading..???? I know I can catch up i just need to sit and work on it!
I know that tonight I am going super simple on dinner- We are having chicken sandwiches (and after eating those like almost every day in high school, you wouldn’t think I could bare to eat them now but a lot of times I just did double fries instead of the sandwich so…oh and it has been 17 years so.. ha ha) Of course, you know I am always looking for new things to make and I am planning to actually check out some recipes here for chilli because I haven’t found a chilli recipe that I really super like (except my moms hot dog chilli and that isn’t the same)
