We All know by now that I love social media. ..I don’t just like it. I think we are in some sort of love affair by this point! Just don’t tell David ? 😉 Anyways, I love when a new social network comes along and when I had the chance to get to check out Univhers (How awesome is that name by the way?) I couldn’t pass it up! Add this in to all the instagramming and google plusing I have been trying to do lately.. I am on fire! I was MORE than happy to help them with writing up an honest review of their site!
Univhers is an awesome new social media site where you can share content with others such as Recipes, Fashion tips, book reviews and more. I know i have been torturing you all with tales of my THE SOUP for a long time and so I would have something to share…I shared it there! I didn’t have a picture of it so that sucked, but here it is if you are interested: Nichole’s THE SOUP I have also never really wrote up a recipe before, and this is an recipe that I adapted and made more tomato based instead of chicken based, so I kind of had to freestyle it! Anyways, I hope you enjoy it!
So more about Univhers! It is a great tool for those who want to share their content and don’t have time to really keep up with a blog, just like it says on the main page when you sign up! I could totally see how you might not be into blogging and want to get your content out there and share with others, and I would agree that this would be a way to do that! I also can see the flip side of it as well, and say as a blogger this would be a great way to get your stuff saw by more folks and all of that kind of thing as well! You can also feel free to ask questions of your “girlfriends” as well! I know that I sometimes have questions that I want to ask and don’t really know where to turn to, and I feel that this kind of environment would be perfect for that!
Sign up with simple, and you can even do it with facebook! The first thing you should do is fill out your profile and add some friends of course! There are 6 Tabs on the right side of your home page and they are links to Home, Favorites,Friends, Profile, Account and Sign out. Here is a better look, which also shows what your feed looks like and the options you have for interacting n the site as well”
Adding a post is REALLY simple! all you have to do is choose your category and topic , add in a picture if you want(if not it will show your avatar as you can see the one of me above when I posted the first go around!) and fill in the blanks! Then you can add in recommendations and all that jazz if you wish as well! You can choose to share with your friends only or with the entire community (which is my advice… the more the merrier).
You can also browse around the site and find various information that you might be looking for as well! When you find something you like you can add it to your favorites for easy access later on, and then you can click and find out more about the author and add them to your friends.
There will be more categories and even an edit option in the future as well. Another awesome thing that they have on the site is have a Friend of the week where a blogger or celeberity shares a post every day of the week and is featured on the main page as well! They are hoping to evolve this a little bit in the future as well!
