This is NOT a sponsored post! I am partnering with Vacation Myrtle Beach as part of my Myrtle Beach vacation in October, and when they asked me to share this information if I wanted to/could it was something I wanted to do as a goodwill gesture for those affected by the Hurricane!
I am going to Myrtle Beach next month as most of you all likely know, since it is the main pinned post on my site right now! I have been lucky enough to get 3 of my 4 hotel nights as comped stays, thanks to the great people at Vacation Myrtle Beach at their hotel, Hotel Blue. I am very much looking forward to the trip of course.
I have been writing a few things about how the storm is impacting my area in regards to the stores being cleaned out of so many things , including bottled water of ANY sort ever since Thursday. Also, we have noticed a lot of gas stations being without fuel/long lines. I am happy to say that we were able to find bottle water today though- and the grocery store was getting a truck when we were leaving ,so I am sure it could have likely had more to stock with.
We are lucky in my area, I think the latest is we might get some 35 mph winds and possibly rain of course. I know at one point the storm track was coming right on the edge of charlotte, but had moved more towards the asheville area but now I think it might totally skirt n.c all together and go straight into TN.
I have several blogging friends in Florida, and even had an instance yesterday of messaging a potential sponsor on facebook with a question, and she was about 6 miles out from the original storm surge zone and was heading out and I was like OMG please go, don’t worry about my silly question!
I have been watching live coverage on Fox 4 Now , which is based out of cape coral Florida most of the day, on and off , so if you want a great resource to check on things, I highly recommend them- very informative!
When my PR gal from Vacation Myrtle Beach asked me if I wanted to share something they had put together for the evacuees , I wanted to do so out of the goodness of my heart! Here is all of the information I was sent:
