I can remember when I first started my first blog years ago, back in 1999 in fact! I can remember being so very excited that you could just get online and make your own site! I guess I kind of figured the only people who had blogs (well back then they weren’t called that!) Were people that had companies or important people!
I am talking about when you used frontpage, and there were sites like angelfire and geocities! I sometimes affectionatly call those the good old days because they were the days when my site was more for fun and not for worrying about gooogle and alexa and all the stats I worry about now!
I have evolved a lot since then in my blogging branching out from having soap opera fan sites to creating my own personal domain as well as my other site for other bloggers to get together and interact! I have truly came a long way from those days! I also seem to learn more and more about blogging as the days go by! I would have never thought I could make a little spending money and get awesome things to review! It’s pretty awesome.
I think that blogging does have a stigma with it of being “dorky” but I think it is also became kind of a popular past time, especially for the stay at home women of the world! Actually by looking at the infographic below, I I cannot believe how many sites there really are online! I knew it was a lot but didn’t even fathrom!
I know that I am a blogger and I love it, and I encourage it to anyone who wants to have one. It is really an outlet and an extension of ones self!
