Last week was so busy that I didn’t even realize I never posted anything. i had started a post tuesday but then David came home from work early so I never managed to finish it – here is a little recap of what has been going on for you:
Monday: I went to the eye dr. my eye is doing good- I made my new glasses and then my mom and I went to CVS and over to her house for lunch . We stopped back by publix on the way home for a few random deals. I was expecting David to be home a little after lunch time because he was supposed to go to charlotte about getting a truck- that is a long complicated story – lets just say that truck fell thru, and I didn’t have a way to know at the time. Anyways it got later and later and then I got a phone call that said he’d been in a wreck right out here where mcdonalds is – he was o.k but this is the pic I got:
Yeah. That was not the way I had thought things were going to go you know? what are the odds? that stinking red car was cursed by a voo doo witch dr or something. I think maybe the one that cursed my grandmas jeep because she has crazy random things happen to it. Anyways , he rode the tow truck over to toyota and got a rental car. ..
Tuesday: I was just having a normal sort of day and I had started writing a post about the wreck and my eye and stuff and David came home and he just was really aggravated and stressed out with the car and he was working on getting another truck. I kind of think he was having some sort of post wreck stress thing.. anyways, we went and ate an early dinner at the mexican place and I finally managed to get him pretty calmed down so that was good.
Wed: we got up super early to go get this truck thing going. There was a major wreck at 2 a/m that we didn’t know about and low and behold they had the main road blocked. The detour usually isn’t a huge deal- I just hadn’t been thru there in years. Well… since everyone HAD to go that way and it is this itty bitty road not designed for that.. it took us OVER 30 min to get to the bridge that usually takes 3 minutes.. so we barley made on time to the loan place
This was an ALL DAY ADVENTURE. I mean ALL FREAKING day … The guy that was selling the truck had to leave for like 2hrs to go do something for one of his kids or something + bring his wife back.. We just went over to see the car and grab David’s lunchbox out of it. We probably finished up with everything at the loan place by like 1:30 or so .. by the time we got home and then went to get a temporary tag (which come to find out you can’t get one .. I cant explain it all because I don’t understand exactly but yeah.. ) we grabbed lunch and I know it was on to 4 when I was sitting in the parking lot out at the tire place. It had rained and poured all day too..
They called about the car. $6500 in damage.. of course we knew that there were 2 flat tires but we didn’t know that the back one cut into the muffler and they have to replace that too. We have full coverage so it isn’t a big deal.. we actually pay a higher rate on purpose that way our dedcutable is lower.. The wreck comes up as no fault = which is a big thing anymore they won’t find fault unless it is something like major. Anyways, Geico is doing an investigation on it and this way if they find the other guy at fault we wouldn’t have to pay -or if we did already pay before they figure everything out then we’d get our money back… I believe they will have time to figure it out before we ever get the car back because it will likely be about 3 weeks or so. They keep renewing our rent a car… We are just lucky that of course no one got hurt and that it didn’t get totaled – we don’t have GAP so.. yeah…
Thursday & Friday I can’t really even remember. I know Thursday evening I ate wings and.. yeah lol..
The weekend is a blur as well.. i know yesterday we went over to my mom and dads and had a cook out and now here we are on Monday…
Today is my and David’s 12 year anniversary so.. He had originally take work off today because of that then they started this whole Hud apt thing and now it has evolved into him having to get tires- we are still trying to figure out wtf on title/tag for the truck and i’m kind of having to stalk out the window to figure out where the apt people aregoing.. of course I don’t want them in our apt! I didn’t move anything and i’m seriously wanting to start cleaning out some stuff so.. yeah…They only go in like 10 apts so.. keep going.. I figure the longer I don’t see them the better .. I know it looks like a darn swat team of people it is kind of scary honestly. I had hoped my glasses might come in today so we’ll see…
