I started wearing glasses around the end of 6th grade! My Mom, Grandma and Great Grandma also have wore glasses, so it wasn’t really a big shock to me to have to wear them!
The first pair of eyeglasses I had were purple and teal with huge round lenses, which we had tinted purple and teal to match! They were so ugly! The next pair I got was in high school, and they weren’t much better!
I got my 3rd pair (the pair I currently have) when I was in college because my eyes had really started to bother me. I only have to wear my eye glasses technically speaking, when i’m driving, but I noticed that my vision really had declined and I wanted to start wearing them more!
The reason that I wasn’t wearing them more was I didn’t want to feel dorky!I picked out a pair of black square frames and it took a while to get them back because my right lens is so much thicker than my left and they had to try to even them out.
enjoy my blast from the past pic! 🙂
Recently I learned about glassesusa.com though! As you can tell I don’t change glasses that often, mostly because they are so expensive for someone who doesn’t have insurance. I could probably afford to go do the exam, but the glasses being bought on site? Probably not!
With being able to order glasses through them though, I would def. be able to consider getting a new pair! They have so many styles to choose from. There is even a virtual mirror which is awesome as well! 🙂
I am considering asking my mom if she can spring and take me to the eye dr. as an early christmas present so I can get a few pairs of these babies! I have always thought it would be nice to have an extra pair, or be able to get prescription sunglasses!
You should def. check out GlassesUSA if you are looking for high quality frames & lenses, a 100% satisfaction guarantee, and even a 110% lowest price guarnatee! + they have a refer a friend program!
They were also generous enough to give me a few codes to share with my readers!
Take $25 off any order of glasses with Transitions lenses with the code: Trans25 Take 10% off any order. Code: Blog10
