Ah Ha! You are wondering:Why didn’t she post pictures of herself IN the costume for goodness sakes? Well, I am saving pictures of me in costume for Halloween! When I’m all did up and out in full force! I will bump this post back to the top and show off the goods so to speak! Look for it! J (Also gives me time to get my hair fixed, a pair of stockings, and all that good stuff too!
Last year for halloween, we ended up going to a haunted plantation…and it pretty much sucked! Lol I ended up tripping on a stick while schleping through the woods and stuff in the pitch black night! I had more fun waiting to actually go out on the tour using the google starmap on my phone!
I had planned to wear my costume, which was the Playboy Little Red Vixen costume, but it was so cold out, and i gained so much weight between getting it, and wearing it..I didn’t want to wear it outside…but even though the skirt was short, I planned to wear it to the biker bar…
Instead, I was dead tired before we got through with the plantation, so we ended up not even going to the biker bar!. I wore it at my brother in law’s and on the way back home..and a little while after we got home and that was it 🙁
I swore that whatever I got this year, I’d make sure it covered me better! I had a chance to get to review for Costume Discounters and when I had david help me pick out something he picked the Don’t Touch My Cookies Scout Costume I was like no , really? lol. I wasn’t biting on that at first, but since that’s what he picked I decided to give it a go! I have to say the having the drawstring back really tempted me because it can be used as a purse!
The Don’t Touch my cookies costume comes with almost everything that you will need to complete your look! There are 8 pieces which include the dress, the sash w/badges, set of hair ribbons ,neck scarf, don’t touch my cookies bag ,beret, and the bow stocking clips. The only things you’ll need to complete the look are some white stockings, and some shoes. The ones pictured are white high heels, but I’m pretty sure mine will be my black flat mary janes! I don’t do heals lol.
The costume is made by dreamgirls, and comes in a plastic reusable hanger sort of bag. I got a size large which indicates it is for a person between 140-160 lbs..which is a smidge bigger than what I actually am, but not by much on the low end. I am about 130lbs. Of course I tried to go a bit bigger because I wanted it to cover pretty well in the back!
So it, came and I tried on the Dress portion, which is green with the illusion that there is a white t-shirt underneath it! It is a smidge low cut on me, but that doesn’t bother me, as most of the things that I wear are low cut to some extent lol. I think if it was something that bothered you, you would be able to pin it up a bit! I was really happy with the length…
Here is your chance to laugh at me. I had a time and a half getting the sash on LOL ..I don’t know why but my mind doesn’t work that way. Even when david tried to help me ..we had a blast.. The sash is a tiny bit too big for me, but I’m going to have my mom sew it up for me. If you are curious as to what the badges on the sash say, here’s a guide: Best Hot Fudge Brownie, Best Kisser, Most adventurous, and Happy camper. So they aren’t anything too naughty, just in case your worried they might be too riske’ for you!
The Don’t Touch My Cookies bag is going to work out so awesome to make a purse for the night. Of course I don’t suggest you load it down, but with just your few essentials like a phone, your license, debit card, some lip gloss..you should be good to go!
As a whole this is a really cute costume, as well as a costume that can be considered as a sexy costume, and I think it will be a blast to wear! I didn’t get to do girl scouts as a child, so this one will kind of be like me living out a little fantasy 🙂
