I love pictures! I think that digital photography is quite awesome too! I know that I love being able to just snap away, and instantly be able to see the picture. I even have my own photo printer that david bought me (which reminds me I need to print a few pics so that my ink doesn’t dry up!)
One thing I haven’t really ever done a whole lot of is organizing my pictures. Sure they have all been uploaded to flickr for the most part( a lot of those were scanned and uploaded by my mom) Some are in sets, some are not..It’s just really time consuming to get into.
Recently I discovered software called fotobounce, and it sure does kick up the making organization and sharing of your pictures a lot easier!
Fotobounce is free software that offers a lot of organizational options, face detection, and a unique sharing method to share your photos with others. It has a very clean interface, and it’s so simple to use even my mom has been able to figure it out without asking me 500 questions J It is pc and mac friendly.
The pictures can be organized by date & albums (several options). Best of all it can be organized by PEOPLE, and not that you have to sit there and type in every person’s name on every picture. No, this thing has Face Recognition technology! It is quite good at too! I was really impressed; it was picking out david, me, and everyone that was at our last family reunion!
Another really cool thing about fotobounce is the ability to share your pictures with who you want without having to upload your pictures to the internet at all. You simply leave the pictures on your computer and they can be remotely accessed by people that you invite to view them. It even sends out teaser photos when you send your invite. You can tell who is online and viewing your pictures and everything!
Fotobounce is integrated with Facebook, Twitter, and Flickr as well. You can share the whole ALBUM via twitter! It really helps with taking your flickr pictures and adding them to facebook as well! It saves you some steps, which I am gonna really be enjoying because I have been hesitant to try to put the flickr pics on fb because it was time consuming! Also, you don’t loose your tags and such!
You can also download an app for you phone (android 2.2/higher) I didn’t have a lot of luck with it, although I’m pretty sure that I have 2.2 (then again I have crappy network coverage). However there is a fotobounce mobile site you can direct yourself to and use your user name and password to view your pictures as well!
In all fotobounce is a very nifty software that I look forward to using more in the future to help me with the organization and access of my photos!
I was paid for this review, but all opinions are my honest opinions and experiences using this software!
