My Holiday Gift Guide isn’t all about awesome goodies I am keeping for me, even though I know it seems like I am fairing out pretty well! So when I had a chance to get something to review that I knew my mom would enjoy I decided why not!
Now you might remember that I got some awesome hair color to review(seriously thinking about adding some more pink to my hair- it has really grew on me- even though my dad keeps calling it RED?? ) so when I got some more hair goodies to review from Fat Hair I thought about my mom the cosmetologist!
She really likes fat hair products because I know I have saw them at her house before, so when I told her I was getting her some she was pretty excited! She actually came and collected them the same day that I received them if I am thinking correctly!
I have such naturally curly and thick hair that even when it is straight you wouldn’t need any volume added in, but now my mom she isn’t as – well is the word we are looking for lucky? because I personally feel that it is a curse- then again I guess it can go both ways. I know that she can curl her hair and make it all fluffy with a curling iron and it won’t last hardly any time at all!
Since I gave my mom the items, the best way for me to do a “review” is to do more of a product highlight of what was received and information that I have about them. Since there were 3 different things I will just break them down individually and go from there, because it is easier that way!
First up we have some Fat Hair Advanced Formula Amplifying Hair Spray which I know that my mom was really excited about because it is one of those Fat Hair items I have saw at her house before- I never use hair spray but she always does- I think for me most of the time it is because when My hair is straightened I have to be really careful what I put in it! Plus, I think of hair spray like the kind she used to fill my hair full of when I was a child and it brings back bad sticky and stiff memories!
This hairspray however, doesn’t have that kind of rep! It not only gives you volume , but it gives you shine and helps with restoring dry and damaged hair. My mom doesn’t know that I have noticed but I have noticed she has been using this hairspray- because I have saw her since the thanksgiving holiday at my grandmas and I could tell her hair was a little more thick looking! I also know that it hasn’t been building up or having lots of residue or stickiness and flaking because she would be fussing about it, if that was the case!
Next up, we have Fat Hair Amplifying Leave in Conditioner and Styler– which even though I don’t really need thickness to my hair (actually as hot and humid as it has been for this time of year i want layers .. think. short. layers lol) I love leave in conditioners because my hair drinks up moisture like crazy! I guess you would too if you were straightened and colored and the like all the time like my hair- plus that is naturally the way it is so.. yeah. I do know that my mom does tend to blow dry her hair a lot (not me- my hair gets off the charts huge when I do that!) so I know that she is enjoying letting her hair have a little “drink” so to speak.
I have to also note that these products are made with natural things- for example this one has avacado in it so how cool is that?
The final product that I received was the Fat Hair Amplifying Blow Dry Spray– which again at first I was tempted to keep for myself and almost did- except..it was made with macadamia oil. Well.. the thing is I am allergic to so many different nuts- so if I were to spray this on my hair and it got on my scalp/what not which is likely I would probably get a contact allergy and I can just imagine the pain and aggravation that would be caused by that- so a little warning to my friends with allergies on that note! So yes, my mom ended up with this one as well- and well since she is more to blow dry her hair than me, I was o.k. with that!
This is another awesome product that doesn’t build up or come off as sticky and cause flaking, and if you are lucky enough to be able to use it , it will really help nourish and keep your hair strong. You lucky folk
Even though these products were ones that I gave to my mom they were really awesome and I know that they were things that she wanted and could use, and that means a lot to me because my mom does so much for me throughout the year, so if I can get things and write about them and bring joy to someone else at the same time, especially someone as special to me as my mom- well that means more to me than getting something for myself!
