If you can’t tell by now, My fur babes Sam & Marley J. Are my world! I like to spoil them when I can,so when Petco Offered to send me a box of goodies to review, I couldn’t turn it down! I was pretty excited to see what they would send, and as you can see above it was quite a haul of awesome goodies.
I was impressed with the variety of things I got, plus it was a good mix of goodies for both Sam and Marley. I know that when it comes to cats there aren’t as many choices it seems out there as there is for dogs, so sometimes I feel like Sam gets left out! Here is a collage showing the items in greater detail(I couldn’t really get a picture of one of the items- the star wars cat head piece but I will talk about it in a minute 🙂 )
Now, here is the fun part where I will break down the items and tell the fur babies reactions and whatnot 🙂
1. Marley’s Boat Toy is called Rugged Play Ruff Plush and it can be found in stores! I really like it because it is a tough material that she can’t chew up and have all the stuffing coming out of the toy! We have tried several stuffed toys with her and within a days time we have had to throw them away because of this very reason. This toy also squeaks when you shake it(It kind of reminds me of the jibber jabber toy from back in the day, if you know what I am talking about lol) She has really enjoyed bouncing around with it and rolling all over the house with it. I think it kind of trips her out when it squeaks lol.
2. Sams Ball and Feather Toy is one that I accidentally threw the wrapper away before I wrote down the correct name of it! I was trying to put it together for him and get the wrapper threw away to keep him from trying to eat it and .. well I wasn’t even thinking lol. I lucked out though and found it on their site anyways! It is called Petco Circle of Fun Track Cat Toy. He REALLY loves this thing.!It was a really simple toy to put together (I mean, I even did it 🙂 ) The Feather was on a spring type thingy and it just snapped inside the base. The ball just popped down inside. I have to watch him though when he plays with it because he is so crafty he can get the ball out of the base lol. I was surprised he actually has played with it as much as he has because he has been the type to rarely mess with his scratch post and it has a feather on it as well. I think that he likes that it is lower to the ground and the whole light up ball thing. Check out the video of Sam having a blast with his new toy :
3. Espree Shed Shampoo: I will def. be using this on marley sometime another in the future because she does tend to shed a lot! It has got better since we got her though , and we have had her bathed at the pet place a few times and my mom has even gave her a bath. It can be used on cats as well, but Sam & a bath just doesn’t mix that well.. I have gave him one in the past and he did o.k except when it came to drying him off.. Plus he isn’t really bad to shed.
4 & 5 : Star Wars Collars for Both! When we first got sam I got him a red collar with a bell of course and he was running around looking like Morris the cat. He didn’t like it though and I swear this cat tricked me and pretended to be choking! believe me it was loose enough we checked several times before we turned him loose with it on, and then he wore it a few days. Next thing I know we are laying in bed watching t.v and he starts making hacking noises. We take the collar off and he stopped. So.. I never ever put one back on him, but I have been wanting to for a while.
So he will def be wearing his new STAR WARS Break-Away Cat Collar, am not a huge star wars fan but I like the color and design and I like that he will have a bell around his neck, because seemingly ever since we moved he wants to get me tripped up by sneaking behind me.
as far as the dog collar It is a STAR WARS Princess Leia Adjustable Dog Collar and pink.. and Marley really did need a new collar to replace her old pink one because it was looking grubby. I like the fact that they both have similar collars in a same theme pretty good as well. As a side note I already mentioned I am not a die hard star wars fan, but I did want to dress Marley up as darth vader for halloween last year after I saw a black little dog on t.v. dressed up as that. We ended up not getting her till Nov 01 so maybe this year? 🙂
6. Sams Mouse Toy is actually a west paw Dog toy(which you can find at your petco store).. Really.. I kid you not! It is called a Rat-A-Cat-Cat and to me it really does scream cat toy more than a dog one. I am not kidding you that every time I had pulled it out of the box to show people the review items, Sam attacked me for this toy. It even has a bell in it! Sam has really not been a toy type of cat for the most part but lately he has seemed to warm up to certain ones, so I was excited to see him be excited for a toy because it is such a new experience for the both of us. This toy totally freaks me out sometimes if I kind of forget about it and just see it laying in the floor or run into it. It is very realistic looking for me!
7. A Toy with NO STUFFING! Petco Natural Instincts Hunt &Fetch (which can be found in petco stores) I think it is a leopard? I have saw these around and had thought about picking one up for my little chewer, Marley. Like I mentioned with the rough toy above she can make a mess out of a actual stuffed toy in a matter of minutes. So far it is going well and she hasn’t concentrated on the only part that is stuffed– the head!
8. Whimzees Alligator treat. Marley was really exctied over this one because we had taken her to petco for a bath back when we first got her and there was one of these in her treat bag! I like the way it smelled. These are all natural and they help with the teeth and even breath. Poor Marley has bad breath big time so we try to give her what we can to make it a bit better!
9 *Not Pictured* There was this absolutely adorable STAR WARS Yoda Cat Headpiece in my box but .. you all know sam is evil in a fur coat and there is no way in this world that thing is going to go on his head without a huge bloody fight. I still found it cute and I will see if I can get one of my moms cats to try it on at some point 🙂
As you can tell My fur babes are loving their new goodies and I like them too! It makes me happy for them to have their toys scattered around on the floor everywhere in the house like little kids and see them enjoy them! We all look forward to having these awesome goodies for a long time to come! Thanks Petco!
