I have written about my hair a TON over the years on my blog- whether it relates to reviews of hair goodies or just in a random post here and there. In case you don’t know- I have naturally curly hair that I curse into being straight at every turn! My mom also happens to be a hair stylist- but when I was younger she did some really hideous stuff with my hair (I am sure most people can say this , but my mom took the cake! She still tries to do some funky stuff to it, but now that I am older I know what I want and the funkiest thing I am going to do probably involves hair color ( I have done some pink streaks in the past!) I also tend to go a little darker or brighter on regular colors than what my mom likes too 🙂 But in general i’m sticking with the same ole same ole
I have tried a TON of hair products over the years, and I am always looking for new lines to try! I am a fan of not only the common stuff you can buy on the shelf at the drug store or whatever to the more professional kind – Either way,I do tend to gravitate to a higher standard though thanks to my mom and her hair stylist background- oh and I worked at Great clips as a receptionist for several years and knowing all about products was my forte- that way if someone came in wanting hair products I could be knowledgeable enough to make the sale because I could get the commission money!
I was happy to get to try most of the line of products from ColorProof. I was able to get most of The ColorPoof CrazySmooth collection to review! I love of course that their products are cruelty free, and that they are formulated for people like myself with color treated hair- my hair has been color treated since I was in high school- which was a long time ago now 🙂
I don’t wash my hair a lot – because Shampoo and Conditioner that isn’t formulated for colored hair it can def. fade out your color in a hurry. I also tend to straighten my hair and use a ton of dry shampoo that way it doesn’t have to be straightened and messed with as often (I admit , a few years back I was on such a straightening kick -I almost had my hair burnt off at the root- EEK!! good thing my mom caught that for me!)
My hair tends to be very dry- you know the whole curly thing- and then the straightening and the coloring and such – it also tends to be fly-away and a put puffy depending on what is going on- like the incessant heat and humidity we have going on here in the south 99%of the time!
I got 4 of the 6 products in the ColorProof CrazySmooth line to try they are color friendly of course, and they have a blend of rare essential oils including Camellia and Abyssinian, as well as seaweed and shea butter -to help with frizz and the like
As I always do when I am writing about multiple products I just break it down with some details and commentary and then sum everything up- it works really well and it seemingly doesn’t take as long 🙂

I LOVE the fact that this is a shampoo actually helps with heat protection (hello, I def. can use help there) and also that it helps with detangling as well – generally that is a conditioner property- not that I would ever go without using conditioner but just in case I was out, or I had forgotten it at home and only had the conditioner- that is a very helpful thing!

I am always looking for ways to help protect my hair beyond just the shampoo and conditioning process so I am a huge fan of Masques and the like. All you have to do is use it when you are showering and leave it on for a minute- to 5 minutes and wash it out and BAM – rescue for your hair!

I LOVE leave in stuff. I pamper my hair at least one time every time I wash it, and before I straighten it again- I put something leave in it , put my turbie twist on and leave it that way pretty much a whole day or over night as the case may be! I am not a fan of blow drying my hair because it gets huge but the drying faster option is very appealing!
I really love the quality of the products that I have got from ColorProof and I look forward to trying out their other lines in the future. I am such a big fan of hair stuff, even though I don’t really do anything that adventurous with it- I do like to take care of it and keep it maintained!
