Wine. Wine.Wine… How I love the- oh ok yes..we knew that.. just refreshing your minds a little bit ๐ And you can tell by the picture, Sam is always interested in what kind of wine’s his fur mommy is reviewing ๐
I recently had the chance to work with Flipflop wines again! Might I just say, that I still cannot believe that these awesome wines are under 7 bucks, and they help soles4souls, which donates shoes to people who are in need ! Like I say, I drink wine anyways, might as well have yummy, afordable wine that helps those in need out! I really think that being able to provide others with shoes, is one of the best causes you can get involved in, because there are so many things that can happen to people who don’t have access to shoes! Think of all the germs and diseases that can be transposed, just because someone doesn’t have access to something as simple as shoes!
Flipflop wines are available in these scrummy (read scrumptious!) varieties
* Flipflop Chardonnay
* Flipflop Riesling
* Flipflop Pinot Grigio
* Flipflop Moscato
* Flipflop Cabernet Sauvignon
* Flipflop Merlot
* Flipflop Pinot Noir
For this review I got to sample the Pinot Noir and the Merlot varities! I was pretty excited, because I have felt that being able to get to try out these wines, i’m expanding my horizons so to speak. I feel like instead of going out to the store and buying the most random typical red table wine, I am educated enough to know about the varities and what not! Usually I would have passed right over anything other than you basic red table wine (or like I say..boones farm ya’ll. boones. farm!) And if I would have strayed from these varities I would have ended up mixing sangria syrup in from the get go/ or sugar lol…yeah guilty!
The Flipflop Pinot Noir was REALLY good. It had hints of cherry, and spices. I love that I can actually taste these different elements! I always look at some of the things that it can be paired with, and this one suggested chocolate chip cookies! I usually drink in the evenings, so i was like hee hee let me bake up some cookies! I did, and wow.. it was over the top devine! The chocolate knocked it out of the park! This one is best served at room tempature, and it’s 13.5% alcohol per volume (ie, snookered out nichole from sugar buzz and wine! ) Loved it!
I was a little unsure if I would like the Flipflop Merlot, because I have tried merlot in the past , and didn’t care for it! Then in the description it was saying it had mocha notes, and i don’t really care for mocha! However, of course I gave it a go…and was pleasantly surprised.. it has the plum notes as well, and it works out REALLY nicely. I didn’t pair this one up with anything, just straight up had it, but it is suggested texas chilli, which I think would have been really nice with it! It was also a dry wine, with 13.5% by volume, but I actually shared this one with david and his brother, so no snookered nichole effect there!
Once again, i’m one happy girl with the flipflop wines, and I suggest (highly!) that you give them a go!
I was provided this product in exchange for my honest opinion!
