I recently got the chance to join Purex in their Purex Insiders program. I know that you’ve probably noticed my badge over on the sidebar for quiet some time now 🙂 I am pretty proud of it!
What the program is , is a way for bloggers & other social media active people to get the word out about the latest purex products!Pretty neat huh?
I was a little late signing up so when I got my first product: Purex Complete Crystals Softner it was already out in the stores! It was released at Walmart on December 28 2010 I believe,and is scheduled to be in other stores in January of this year.
Purex Complete Crystals are 92% natural, which I really like because I have mentioned before I have very sensitive skin, and usually the more natural things are the less chance of a reaction that I seem to have. Also, Natural is just the way to go..who wants all those nasty chemicals getting into your clothes/skin/etc
So how do you use these innovative little crystals? They sure aren’t like your typical liquid fabric softener that’s for sure! Now, I’m not the most laundry savvy person as far as laundry detergent goes, because I generally use a ball that does the fabric softener work for me, and it comes open at a certain time durring the cycle. Correct me if I’m wrong, with typical fabric softener you have to catch the laundry before a certain cycle pour it in an go?
With these crystals however, it starts right at the beginning of the wash cycle, and infuses the smell into your laundry from the get go! Unique no? also unlike regular fabric softer it is not: oil based, doesn’t decrease the ability for your towels to absorb water, decrease the safeness of children s sleepwear or reduce the effectiveness of your sportswear!
I had a few loads of blankets & my clothes saved up to use these crystals with. (I know I am so mean, i didn’t want to try it on Davids clothes first lol)
I figured that as soon as they hit the dryer, and came out the smell would be gone. I was surprised that I was wrong! I can still smell the scent! Yay!!
