Recently I was contacted by UncommonGoods about doing a review of an item on their site in exchange for my opinion. In case you haven’t ever been UncommonGoods.com, it is definitely a site to check out! They have such a variety of unique items to choose from, it was really hard to narrow it down to pick something for review. They not only have such a variety of items, they have items for everyone that you could possibly be looking to buy something for including gifts formen which can be found here (I know for some reason another it seems to me that men are the hardest people to buy a gift for).
So how did I pick something to renew on a site with so many options? Well, after much deliberation I decided to let one of my true loves guide my way: Most women have a shoe fetish, but in my world you just substitute that for Purses & Handbags! I have tubs and tubs and boxes of purses in my closet…it is really an obsession. I have been like this since I was like 2 years old. I don’t think I have left the house more than a handful of times without carrying a purse with me. I even had a game as a young child that I called “pocketbooks” that I don’t remember a lot about, I’m just saying this goes to show you I have loved them since forever!
The item that I chose for review was the Hattie Bag, which would make an awesome mother’s day gift http://www.uncommongoods.com/occasions/mothers-day-gifts/mothers-day-gifts if your mom happens to be into purses and handbags as well! The Hattie Bag was really really cute and just screamed that it was “me” so after I found it I requested it to review ASAP!
I tend to NOT understand size and dimensions as a whole when I see them listed on a site. This is where I made a tiny mistake, that really wasn’t a big deal, I just wasn’t paying attention to how big this bag was! I thought that it was a purse size, like a medium size one at that. Turns out it was a lot more big than I had thought! It is more of a TOTE BAG type of size. Like I say though, it wasn’t a big deal. In my world a purse/handbag is welcome no matter the size as long as it is cute! Oh, and I thought it was neat that it was made in India too!
So after my initial shock that it was big, I concentrated on how pretty it is in person! This bag is very girly and frilly, and very appropriate for being used during the spring/summertime seasons, because of the colors and all of the flowers. There are 3 frilly layers, and the colors include green, blues, pinks, and reds. There are outside pockets on each side and a draw string on each side of the closure up top to help tighten it up if you need to. The handles are pretty thick as well, and the inside of the bag matches the green layer of the purse, and includes a large zipper pocket, a cell phone pocket, and another pocket. There is also a magnetic closure for the purse in general
This bag is pretty, functional, and can even be machine washed because it is made out of cotton. If you are a girly girl who is looking for an awesome cute bag that holds a ton of goodies then this bag is for you. If you are looking for other goodies , including birthday presents, I suggest you check out uncommongoods!
