I really like the idea of subscription boxes. I like the thrill of getting packages, and I like the element of the surprise of what is going to be inside of it! So when I was asked to review one in exchange for my honest opinion from conscious box, I was more than happy to say “sure”.
I had been a subscriber of a box last year that I really enjoyed getting but they were very sporadic about sending them (supposed to be monthly, but more like every 2 months) Then, they totally switched everything up and made it be like a lottery so that more people could experience them, so that totally threw me off. I have been looking into a replacement option for quite some time but hadn’t really came up with anything. However, I might have found what I was looking for with this box.
So what is conscious box exactly? It is a subscription box service of goodies that are natural,pure and healthy and come from ethical companies. Normally, that wouldn’t sound like my cup of tea, I’ll be the first to admit. After browsing through the site and seeing goodies from the past, and in turn getting my own box I have to say I was pretty impressed and wanting to jump on board! For 19.95 a month (that includes shipping) you get a box of 10-20 goodies. It’s seriously like your birthday every darn month that way!
My box had a awesome variety of items, that included not only food types of items, but even beauty and household stuff as well. Pretty nifty! My boxes name was “All you need is love”.
Included in my box were the following items
- A ready to drink probiotic
- A calming ,anti stress drink mix
- Coconut cooking oil
- Organic chocolate bar
- A trash bag
- A sun cup(chocolate with sunflower butter)
- Pack of oatmeal
- Pack of snack mix
- A packet of “superfood” drink powder
- Goats milk soap
- Tube of face and body lotion
- Container of sea salt
- 3 mini chocolate bars
- A few coupons/papers with various info about different products
I was impressed with the sizes of a lot of the items because many of them were full size and not just a sample size so I felt like it was a good value for the price of the box. One of my favorite items that I got was the sun cup, because I am deathly allergic to peanuts. It was like a reeses cup but with sunflower butter instead of peanuts, so that was pretty awesome!
Another thing I like are with these types of boxes is that you get to try new items that you might not have known about before as well.
I think that in all this box is pretty awesome, and I look forward to checking them out in the future as well!
