My Love for reviews & my love for books. They make a great partnership ๐
Thanks to Hachette Publishers,I recently got the chance to review a book called Simple Times: Crafts For Poor People by Amy Sedaris. Now, I have to admit that at first I thought this was going to be a serious book about different crafts that you can make on a budget, which it is. However, It is more for comical purposes instead of practical purposes I guess is how to say it.
I did however enjoy it! From the book inside book cover you could get a good feel for what the book was going to be like (and that is the way that it should be lol) You also get your first “craft” idea which is to make a hat out of the book jacket ha ha!
There are around 300 pages of ideas, hints and tips, etc that will keep you very entertained! There are even recipies (serious ones). The pictures are awesome and at times cute, and times maybe a little..shocking? I guess would be the correct word for them!
One of the funniest crafts that I found was one called the mouse ghetto! The idea is for when you have trapped a mouse, etc. It is a little place he/she can spend their final days.
One of the very last pages of the book has an honest to goodness helpful list of things to keep in your craft room as well
If you are looking for a less than serious craft book/ a book to make you smile, i’d reccomend that you check this one out ๐
I’d like to thank the good folks over at hachette publishers for allowing me to review this book in exchange for my honest opinion
