I have lots of Kitchen Memories! #sponsored
Ever since I had a place of "my own" back when I went away to college, I have had a "thing" for kitchens and kitchen related goodies. I know that my friend Rebecca and I used to spend hours in Walmart looking at different things- and I am talking this was one of those teeny-tiny Walmarts that had a limited grocery section and wasn't even a 24 hour one back in the day! I can also remember when I was getting ready to go away for college, I spent lots of time picking out my dishes and various items. I was super excited at that point to be able to find anything that was pink- including measuring cups and measuring spoons- which I still have 15 years later! In general, Kitchens seem to invoke good memories within myself - seems like I have lots of nostalgic memories that are related to food- birthdays, holidays and even random memories that relate back to family- which of course is VERY important to me. I guess I come from a long line of people cooking and hanging around … [Read more...]
TOTALLY FREE CVS DEAL: Sundown Organics Vitamins!
Hey Everyone I had already done my CVS deals for this week, however I still wanted to work out a P&G deal so.. I was actually working on an vitamin deal for REGULAR sundown vitamins when this one popped up on my radar The Sundown Organics Vitamins are generally $19.99 and they are on sale for $9.99 with your CVS Extracare card (They were NOT marked at my store... and they were way down the shelf... whatever was on sale that was above them, the sales card had them totally obscured from view or I would have gotten a pic of the shelf to at least show the variety and that they weren't tagged, lol) In The 9/22 retail me not insert there were coupons for $10 off on the Sundown Organics Vitamins(They expire on the 5th!) ... At my store they adjusted down the coupon price to $9.99 and they were totally free. I know some folks are having issues with stores saying that the coupon exceeds the value of the item but it is in their coupon policy that they will adjust it down -so if … [Read more...]
processing – a very small update
Hey Everyone I super apologize for not writing very much lately. I know I wasn't doing very well with keeping up the blog BEFORE my parents accident and now i'm probably worse than before about it ... but I have been super busy with lots of different things. The first week after the wreck I was in a "what if" and processing sort of mode. It included panic attacks , bad dreams and trying to find some sort of "peace" and a "purpose" and ways to cope with everything if that makes sense. I spent lots of time with my parents (more than my usual- and that is already a lot) I also went over and saw the truck and helped get the stuff that was inside during the wreck cleaned up and that sort of thing. It wasn't something I HAD to do- but for me in a mental stand point it kind of was. It was a closure sort of thing. I know one week I read quite a bit and then I have jumped back into couponing and little by little things are sorting out and getting back to whatever "normal" is. As … [Read more...]
The Do’s and Don’ts of Getting a Pet Dog
When it comes to owning a pet dog then some of the things that you can do is play things by ear. You can adapt and see what happens with you and your family. But there are some things that are definite dos and some things that are definite don’ts. Right from getting your pet dog to how you take care of them, there are quite a few different things to think about. In fact, right from the start, one of the first don’ts is all about not encouraging inhumane and irresponsible practices that happen around dogs, such as puppy mills or dodgy backyard breeders. So one of the first dos can be that you to ‘do’ consider adopting a dog. As the saying goes, don’t breed or buy while there are shelter pets that die. There can be some fantastic dogs that are looking for a home. Even if you are looking for a purebred dog, you might be surprised by just how many purebred dogs can actually be found in shelters or in rescue centers. If you do have some worries around adopting a dog, then it is a good … [Read more...]
My Parents were In a horrible accident <3 (they are totally o.k thankfully!)
Hey Everyone I apologize for not updating recently... I actually probably could have updated sometime before everything went down last Saturday morning and then I wouldn't have been so behind with doing so.... I have told this story a million times. I have listened to my parents tell the story a million times.. but for me to actually sit and write it is not something I am able to do quite yet so.. I am just putting this here and I'll post something more detailed and some of the other pics (and probably these too) I have spent the last week processing , we could have been with them. behind them. I have spent time with them and helped with cleaning out the truck when they got to bring it home. Like I say a very detailed post of some sorts will follow but for now this is what I can do! there are 10 pics here so you can scroll to see everything... I also need to add in that when the tire blew, they apparently cut the brake line that is why my dad couldn't stop the … [Read more...]
