When I was a little girl I didn’t get to go to sleep away camp or day camp, and I am not really sure why. I would say it was because of the way I was brought up and the church I attended – but our church actually had a camp but I think it was really far away. I did get to stay with my grandparents in the summer and on a few other breaks over the years,but I think I might have actually enjoyed getting to go to a sleep away camp at some point when I think about it in retrospect- which probably has to do with watching the parent trap so much as a child!
So when I found out that there was this app that helps with all the things that your child goes away to camp and even goes as far as helping with the labeling and even sending the items to the camp if that is allowed- well I know that a lot of you all who read the blog have kids and this might be something you would be interested in, so I had to share! Oh and well of course I was happy about it because perhaps one day I will have a child I might let to go
The app is called Bunk Supplies and Beyond and you can download it in the apple store or find it for download from google play store which of course is great that you can pretty much download it on any device that you might have- phone, tablet,etc! It is a free download, which is always great as well.
When you start the app, you can choose between girls shop and boys shop and then- well goodies abound my friend! I am talking shampoo, conditioner, shower flip flops,shower caddies, bed bug stuff, styling products, and on and on-if it is something you could even think to need to be away at camp it is likely there! Even flash lights and first aid, post cards and games- really I can’t even begin to name all of the categories. I like that there is such an extensive variety for sure.
You simply add the items to the cart and for $10 you can have labels added to all of items with your childs name! To adjust item quantities you can do that in the shopping cart. When you check out you can enter your billing and shipping information- which also gives you the option to have the items sent right to your childs camp- if they allow packages – that way it can already be there waiting for your child. I think that would be so cool to get there and have a package of goodies ( I have always been a fan of packages) this would also make packing a breeze as well!
After you enter billing, and shipping you move on to payment and then confirm and BAM done! I also like the option of shopping on the app because the products are common products that you have probably used before and it would save you a trip to the store and all of that kind of thing as well!It can be done whenever you want and you don’t have to deal with making a trip that you might not have time to make or whatever the case might be.
