I used to spend a fortune on my college textbooks when I first started out going to school. I did try to get the used ones at the school bookstore, but hee hee financial aide people always got to go first, and well.. they were all about trying to spend less of their money on the books so they could have more left over for other things!
I did start buying my books from Amazon & Half which helped alot, but still it wasn’t too fun. When I went to Appalachian State University we RENTED our books through the school. I think for about 30 bucks a semester you got every required book you needed for all of your classes! Novel idea right? why not just rent them and save money and all that good stuff huh?
When I started back at community college in the fall of 2006, that’s exactly what I started looking into was renting my books! Sometimes I couldn’t find what I needed, and renting books wasn’t as popular then as it is now! It was hard to find EVERY book, and there weren’t many places to look.
I really wish I would have came across CampusBookRentals! they have an awesome selection and they of course have awesome rates! You can’t beat that right?
Wrong! They also support a very worthy cause! (I am seriously impressed with how many companies I am coming across lately that support the most awesome causes, with things that I would be looking for /buying anyways!) They help support Operation Smile, which helps provide surgery to children with cleft lips, who otherwise wouldn’t be able to afford the procedure. They have a goal to reach 1000 surgeries (+) donated!
So I highly suggest you check them out, rent your books, save yourself some money and… in turn you will be helping out children in need! How awesome is that ?
