You all likely know I don’t wear much when it comes to make up- I love collecting it, I like messing around with it, but in general I am just not a make up wearin’ gal- though I am a girly girl! I think it goes back to this quote that my great grandfather always said “A little bit of powder and a little paint makes many an ole gal what she ain’t”! So it has just been something I have been conservative with for the most part. I go more for concealer, tanning, lotions, lip glosses and that kind of thing- and especially glitter! Yes, I am a child from the 90’s you can tell! I have glitter body spays and roll on sticks and just tubs of glitter to wear !
I do tend to like to use glitter more when I am tan, and if something can compliment my color at the same time as far as bronze color, I get really excited. I have some lotion that has bronzers and some glitter than I use on my legs when I am tanning and was happy when I got an Item to review that was similar in concept for me to use on my face/chest I was pretty excited.
Gerard Cosmetics contacted me about reviewing their product called Star Powder and I was like YES PLEASE! Star Powder is essentially bronzing powder with a bit of shimmer! Perfect for little ole me- especially when I was in my tanning hay day earlier this summer!
Gerard Cosmetics star powder comes in a really cute gold compact with mirror and are about 2.4 oz. They are made in the USA and are gluten free as well as cruelty free (not tested on animals). There are several shades available from DARK to a bit more pale. The powders are named for different stars- for example a dorothy danridge- and audrey for audrey hepburn of course. You also have options of Brigitte, Grace, Lucy, and Marilyn. Even with my tan at its peak I just chose some of the lighter shades that would work either way for me.
The colors that I did choose were Marilyn- which is a nice golden color with sparkles to remind you that “diamonds are a girls best friend! The other one I chose was the Brigitte which is more of a champagne/peach kind of color going for it. When it came to choosing colors there were a couple of others I considered but after having my mom , david and myself try to pick we all settled on the same 2 and I think I made good choices. The website does a great job of describing the color and you are able to zoom in and see the colors pretty realistically.
If you are looking for something to give you a little bit of color and sparkle, I would suggest you check out Gerard Cosmetics Star Powder. I know that I am looking forward to enjoying mine for a long time to come!
