Many of you know that my mom is pretty into couponing, and she does REALLY well with her deals. I *try* to do some of the deals that she does. Heck, yesterday I got at Rite Aide 2 3 packs of planters nuts (not for me, I’m allergic, they are for David) and a container of softsoap for a grand total of 2.60 and got 2.00 in register rewards back! WHEE!
Mom is also planning to take me major time shopping with coupons as my Christmas present from her and dad this year! I can’t wait.
Recently I got the chance to check out a helpful tool for couponers called slice™ Safety Cutter – Great for couponers. You can use it also to open cd’s, in scrapbooking and other various things as well. It is made out ceramic, which was something that I hadn’t ever really thought about in a cutting sense before!
Some of the other handy features of the Slice Safety Cutter-Great for couponers are
– Ceramic blade lasts longer than steel
– Stays sharp and never rusts
– Built-in magnet and key-ring hole
– Finger-Friendly™ Design
– For left- and right-handers
I saw it and instantly thought of my mom! I have been out with her several times when she may have not had all of her coupons cut out just yet (this happens when you get 5+ inserts every week!)
She has fashioned herself a really nifty coupon organizer and she has scissors in it, but she has them tied to the rings with string, and well it’s a pain to try to cut with them. Which don’t get me started on how no one has a couponer friendly shopping cart, lol.
When I told her about it she was ecstatic and couldn’t wait for me to get it, because she knew I’d end up letting her have it! She came over about 2 weeks ago, and I let her get hands on with it (this was after I had taken it over to her house in my netbook bag on the weekend and forgot I had it with me lol) We quickly figured out that you have to hold the cutter parallel with what you are trying to cut *which it mentions on the package, we just didn’t see it right off the bat*
She had fun trying it out, and also trying out the magnet part of it on my refrigerator. That is her hands holding it in the picture before I let her open it! She now carries it with her in her coupon binder and uses it often! She says that it is a very nifty gadget and she’s glad that I thought of her when I saw it up to review!
I am going to have to order one for myself eventually since she kidnapped this one! For $5.99 I think it is an awesome deal, and would make a great “stocking stuffer” for this time of the year!
I received one or more of the products mentioned above for free using Tomoson.com. Regardless, I only recommend products or services I use personally and believe will be good for my readers.
