I am sure that many of you that have followed along over the years, or any length of time know that I have this really huge love for reviews of snacks and anything food related! Sometimes when we have been between checks and whatnot these items have really helped us out more than you can even know! I also do like trying new things sometimes – I know I have that whole I am a picky eater thing going on but I keep telling you all it isn’t as true as people make it out to be!
I generally do choose more Savory things as snacks for me personally but David even though he doesn’t admit it that much does love sweet things and it isn’t like I HATE them. I actually have another review in my que that I could very well write this same intro for lol.
Anyways, when I got the chance to review biscotti from Nonni Biscotti I was like hmm that sounds like a great idea. I had never even had any before, and I thought it would be something unique and different for me.. I mean I do indulge in sweet things every now and then 🙂
Nonni Foods, the makers of the biscotti was founded in 1988 and they are really big on using no artificial flavors and preservatives! Their motto is “Real ingredients, No compromises” Â They are the number one selling biscotti in the country and sold coast to coast.
Each biscotti is made with real ingredients like butter and eggs and are baked twice to give a light and crunchy texture. Â They are individually wrapped as well – which is something I really liked so that you don’t have that scenario where you open a whole box and then have to eat them quickly because you don’t want them to go stale!
The flavors that are generally available include: dark chocolate almond, limone, originali, salted carmel, toffee almond, and more. I got to try some of the more limited edition seasonal flavors like pumpkin spice, dark chocolate pumpkin, gingerbread and milk chocolate hazelnut!
I enjoyed all of the flavors, but my favorite- I bet you didn’t see it coming with my love of fall and everything is the pumpkin spice ones! Â I absolutely love that they are individually wrapped, have a perfect balance of natural yummy and that they aren’t overly sweet at the same time. I love having mine when I have my first coffee when I get going in the morning! I also love that they are only 11o calories each as well!
Nonni Biscotti is also quite affordable so if you want to pick up a couple of boxes and put them in the freezer for when you want a hint of pumpkin spice (or any of these seasonal flavors) at an “odd” time of year you can do that as well. They retail for around $3.29 for a box of 8!
I was lucky enough to get several boxes of the pumpkin ones and they are in my freezer and I am looking forward to enjoying them in the future!
