I admit to sometimes getting really interested in those As seen on Tv type things. Not always, but it seems like every now and again I see what that I think is really a neat concept and that I can't get out of my head - and sometimes that leads to me getting the item later on maybe if I see it at wal-mart or the drug store or something like that. A while back I saw an ad for the Clever Cutter on facebook- I don't hardly ever watch tv except for streaming so sometimes I am a little bit late to the party unless I do happen to have someone tell me about it or it pop up on facebook. Anyways, I thought wow I be that thing would be cool to have- especially for some one like me who absolutely is terrified of knives! I truly am- always have been and not a reason in the world do we know why! I have only ever been cut by a knife ONE time and that was maybe 3 years ago and I was cutting something and nicked myself! So needless to say when I got in touch with a girl who said she could … [Read more...]
Holiday Gift Guide Review: Spray Perfect #review #sponsored #sprayperfect
One thing I have never really been able to do is paint my own nails! It goes in with that whole random quirk thing with coordination that I seem to have. It isn't that noticeable- just certain random simple things I can't seem to do like everyone else- and I have done way better with it since I am older - and usually the only people who know are like my mom, my grandma and David. Other than painting my nails at this point, I can't even think of anything else off the top of my head if that helps lol. I also used to tell my mom that nail polish made my nails feel "heavy" I don't know why- I told you I am a quirky little thing lol I have however worn nail polish at different points obviously, and I have even painted my little cousins nails before - I think it really comes into play that I don't really do my own because I am uncoordinated like made when it comes to my left hand and being able to paint the right one - if that makes sense? Yeah.. lol Anyways, me and nail painting isn't … [Read more...]
Holiday Gift Guide Review: Ninja Cooking System 3 in 1 #review #sponsored
I am sure by now you realize that my favorite reviews generally includes something to do with tech, kitchen, or food or maybe even a combination of the above. Not that I don't love all the items I get to review, but it seems like these sorts of items just call out to me for some reason. I can remember when I was in college and I didn't even have a place of my own really- just an apartment shared with 3 roommates at a time and I can remember a friend of mine and I used to spend hours in the kitchen section at the small 7-11 walmart! (in other words it wasn't very big but I loved to dream!) You probably have also noticed that I have loved doing reviews for the the awesome folks that have the Ninja brand of products (and they also are the same awesome people I have gotten awesome Shark brand goodies from as well) so even though I had already featured an item from them this holiday gift guide go around, I had mentioned that if it was ever possible for me to get one of the Ninja Cooking … [Read more...]
Holiday Gift Guide Review: MyCharge Hubmax #review #sponsored
Think about everything you likely carry with you in a days time if you are out and about- it likely involves one or more devices that you have to charge such as your phone or tablet...and when you travel you are likely having to not only carry your devices and cords to perhaps try to charge on the go, but you are likely carrying other devices and cords that belong to other family members! I know that our car has a built in usb hub that you can charge things on if you have the cord with you- but first of all you have to have the cord which I sometimes do and sometimes don't- but it doesn't do a great job at charging either- I am talking you might get a few percent but that's about all...and like i say that is IF you happen to have a cord stuck in the car or remembered to grab it on your way out the door. That is kind of the way it is with most chargers. We have had the ones that go to the cigarette lighter and all that kind of thing but they are still inconvenient! Oh and how if you … [Read more...]

I have an affinity for items that have been featured on Shark Tank- even though I am really behind on watching it! I think that I have brought you reviews for at least one item in the past that was featured on the show- if not more- and I hope to bring you more on that note in the future. I was thinking of something useful but kind of a little bit- well not traditional to feature for you all, when I had saw a friend of mine talking about a particular item on facebook and I was like - OH I had totally forgotten about that- I wonder if they would work with me for a review in the holiday gift guide and lo and behold they not only worked with me but they sent me an extra … [Read more...]
Holiday Gift Guide Review: Timex Watches #review #sponsored #timex
When I got contacted to do a review for Timex, I am not really sure WHO was more excited between David and myself! David has these things that he always seems to "collect" I guess is the word- hats, knives, and watches too! I have several watches that I have saved from when I was younger and a few I have gotten randomly over the years but I personally have gotten out of the habit of wearing a watch! I think that a lot of people might be in that boat in this day and time because I have gotten in the habit of just using my phone- even though I have some really nice watches. David still wears one, especially when he is working because they aren't supposed to have a phone out at work for pretty much any reason (he works in heavy equipment so it makes a lot of sense safety wise you know?) He also has alarms set on his watch to help him remember when he's supposed to go do different things at different times of the day(and i'm sure he's got one set for lunch time and quit time too ha … [Read more...]
