I have an affinity for items that have been featured on Shark Tank- even though I am really behind on watching it! I think that I have brought you reviews for at least one item in the past that was featured on the show- if not more- and I hope to bring you more on that note in the future. I was thinking of something useful but kind of a little bit- well not traditional to feature for you all, when I had saw a friend of mine talking about a particular item on facebook and I was like – OH I had totally forgotten about that- I wonder if they would work with me for a review in the holiday gift guide and lo and behold they not only worked with me but they sent me an extra for my mom!
What is this item? well of course by now you have saw the title is Squatty Potty! I had thought that it was a very interesting item when I saw it on the show. I can’t remember if I saw it around the actual time it aired or not (sometimes if we have cable I see things “live” and then other times it is up to me to remember to watch it on my streaming service that I use)
Anyways, I know it had been a little while but it was something a little bit different that I thought deserved a try, and like i said they were even nice enough to let me have 2 so I could share one with my mom because when I had mentioned it to her she was like Yeah, I thought that it was an awesome concept! Oh, and I do try to break the whole I am an only child so. I must be selfish stereotype too!
In case you haven’t heard of squatty potty- I don’t know perhaps you are living under a rock or something? let me tell you a little bit about the concept! Basically when you go to the bathroom the traditional way- as in to do #2 it is not really the way that we as humans were designed to use the bathroom to properly eliminate everything! I guess I look at it as think back from when humans began to walk the earth…we didn’t have toilets back then- we just squatted and went and went on about life. The whole toilet came later on and basically we have adapted to that unless we happen to be out camping or something like that!
Let me be a little– well not.. graphic but just think about that- if you are out in the wild somewhere and have to go.. doesn’t it have a little bit more of .. OOMPH to it for you? I mean me myself, I am one of these people who has to take almost everything in the world off to go outside like that because I am afraid i’ll make a mess lol but it always did seem to me that going that way seemed a little more- fulfilling maybe?

Insert the squatty potty here! It helps you be able to squat properly , but while using your toilet. You can even use it when you tinkle (which is crazy, I didn’t even realize that until I was writing this review- you can bet i’ll be trying it for that too now!) It even stores at the base of your toilet so it isn’t in the way and it is right there for you when you need it as well. It can take up to 2 weeks before you can likely tell a difference- but for most people it is instant- I had that effect for myself but David said he just never got anything from it. I am not really sure with my mom because she had foot surgery right after she got hers! I know with David too he like to be lazy and not try new things lol. I just have to say he’s the one that stays in the bathroom doing his business for a reallllly long time and me not so much!
There is a awesome diagram of how to use the squatty potty right on the actual stool so I left mine on there in case anyone that comes over happens to be in our bathroom and want to try it out. Believe me it is not that hard and if I can do it as I always tell you all – anyone can do it
I am enjoying my squatty potty and I love how convenient that it is and that I feel like I am doing better when it comes to going to the bathroom, and I look forward to using it in the future. I also look forward to possibly checking out more awesome items in the future – I just noticed that they had a stuffed unicorn that I am DYING for and even some unicorn gold toilet spray!
