When I got contacted to do a review for Timex, I am not really sure WHO was more excited between David and myself! David has these things that he always seems to “collect” I guess is the word- hats, knives,and watches too! I have several watches that I have saved from when I was younger and a few I have gotten randomly over the years but I personally have gotten out of the habit of wearing a watch! I think that a lot of people might be in that boat in this day and time because I have gotten in the habit of just using my phone- even though I have some really nice watches.
David still wears one, especially when he is working because they aren’t supposed to have a phone out at work for pretty much any reason (he works in heavy equipment so it makes a lot of sense safety wise you know?) He also has alarms set on his watch to help him remember when he’s supposed to go do different things at different times of the day(and i’m sure he’s got one set for lunch time and quit time too ha ha!)
I was really excited though to have Timex offer me not only a watch for just myself but one for David as well. I know that the first non character watch I ever had was a Timex- I remember it VERY well and I am pretty sure that I still have it somewhere. I remember getting it when we were at the beach one year for our annual church trip and that I was so excited because it had the Indiglo nightlight in it. I think I was the first person that I knew that ever had one and I used to make it light up ALL of the time and just thought it was the neatest thing.
Timex has LOTS of awesome watches to choose from with lots of features and styles so you can def. find something for everyone! They also have watches at lots of different price points , and styles for men, women and children as well. It was hard for me to narrow down what exactly wanted and then of course David he had already been looking at watches for a while and had something specific in mind.
I chose the IronMan Sleek 50 mid size watch – first of all because it was pink and pretty- and because I have really little wrists so trying to find something that will work out with fitting and not be overwhelming and heavy is always something that I have to consider! It is light weight, water resistant up to 100 meters , has the indiglo nightlight and a soft silicone strap that actually fit me without my dad or david having to create another hole for it!

The watch David got was the Ironman sleek 50 full size which was very similar to the one that I received except his was more of a Guy kind of watch obviously and it had a bigger face. Other than that they are pretty much the same.
I know that David has reserved his for wearing when he is not working- as in wearing it when we go out somewhere and on the weekends and that kind of thing and he was SO very excited when he got it! I am still trying to get used to wearing a watch more often , and I love wearing it at night and playing with that light just like when I was a kid 🙂
I think watches make a great gift and that Timex has so many to choose from I don’t think you would go wrong.I actually have a timex from a while back that is from the kids collection that has hour and minute wrote on the corresponding hands! I have had that thing for YEARS and it still works just as well as it did when I got it 🙂 I know that they make a quality product and I know that we will be enjoying not only these watches but others from them in the future!
