You would think at my age that I wouldn't probably know too awful much about social security disability insurance but actually I do! My mom was a cosmetologist ever since I was in about 1st grade right up through spring of 2006. She had several problems with her feet, but she had surgeries and stuff like that, but then one day in the spring of 2006 she had a glass shelf fall on her foot at work... they were setting up a new store, and she was helping put up the product shelves and such.. well she had to go to urgent care and after that she couldn't really work anymore because it was so bad. She had to try to get the disability benefits for a couple times, and even get a lawyer to help, and eventually she did get a settlement in 2007. I know that there are lots of people out there who try to play the system and get these things even though they may not qualify and sometimes actually end up getting them! lack of sugar-hurts!
this morning has already been a long one for little ole me! I feel alot better than yesterday but I know i'll get one of those evil sugar headaches before the end of the day, and boy do they SUCK majorly! I know that eventually i will stop getting them but any day now would be awesome! I can't hardly do anything around the house including blogging, working on grits-reviews, or cleaning in the house! I have to keep my frozen icepack on my neck to even function! I hate to think with these sorts of headaches how difficult it would be for me to do something as simple as even Mega Meeting web video conferencing I really didn't realize how much sugar I must have been drinking in the day to be having my head hurt like this ...I would have thought sugar from other stuff would have countered it out, but I have been sadly wrong! on another note i'm gonna try my hardest to get around and comment those I havent & even try to post some reviews at grits-reviews. i drove. and lived to tell the tale!
*waves* I can't remember the last time I sat here and wrote a "Regular" entry lol...good grief! Anyways how is everyone this fine monday? I started the day out by driving for the first time in god knows when! Ever since David and I have been together, he's just always drove. I am not to much a fan of driving at all. Anyways, I did fairly well considering that it was 5:30 in the morning, and dark out! I even managed to BACK into the parking spot outside! WHEEE!! I have to go and pick him up after while..probably around 6:00 so that should be fun. NOT ..I hate town driving & too much traffic. MEH!! Mom finally decided to get us some cell phones! She got david a line as well. they came through fedex and she brought them over while ago. Me & Her got the Pantech Impact (they are pink) and david got a rugby II. What are some gadgets you can not live without? Why? List no more than 5! You would think I would go all high tech on listing my items, but honestly...I have to throw a few basic things in here. 1. Air conditioner..because let me just tell you living in the south without one would NOT be a walk in the park 2.Washing Machine: Because I don't think i'd relish in the thought of having to go to the laundry mat/wash my clothes by hand! 3.Cell Phone of any kind. I don't have a house phone, and it is nice to be able to get ahold of people/them be able to contact you! Never know what kind of emergency you might have and all that good stuff 4.Computer. w/Internet : also a good means of communication, also helps with making money,and meeting other people. and keeping me entertained! 5.Microwave: for all those meals i'm too lazy to cook and all the nom-a-licous snacks that can be made in it :) … [Read more...]
Veracity day #7 Your First Website
What was your first ever website called? What was it about? How long did you have it? The first site I had was an all in one page called Nichole's All in one soap site and it was about me, another world sunset beach and days of our lives haa haa later on I had a section for passions as well. At various points i had individual sites for all of the above as well! i can remember how cool i thought that it was that you could have your own website :) I don't think that at that part orf time habing my own personal site was even a thought in my head early on. I had the Nichole's All in One site for about..2 or 3 years probably..or some version of it..I know we are talking at least as far back as 1999ish and I had it till around the time I graduated. give it up!
There are so many things that I have been trying to give up, not only to help with our money situation (Which is getting better thanks to long hours and all that good stuff) but also because of health related things. a few things I have gave up so far? eating fastfood ... I can't totally give up eating out..but i'm cutting out the mcdonalds and wendys and the like ..I still have a thing for a hardees chicken sandwich but that's because I don't eat there that much! I never thought there would be a day where i'd quit mcdonalds..but I can't tell you the last time I was there! WOOT! drinking soda. I have went to crystal light, juice, water, and tea's :) oh and i've lost 3lbs so far there a few things I need to still give up like drinking so much alcohol(ha) and then theres things i think david should give up like gurkha cigars lol.
