So.... back in October 2020 I wrote a post called our COVID adventure. Other than that little scare, we have done super well even with being exposed to COVID a few times that we knew of (the quarry has been eat up with it at several different points, and for me that was more indirect but probably the most of my exposure) then again, when you are out and about you never really know if someone were to have it, or if they might have it and not even know it! Anyways, we have been extremely lucky all the way around. I don't really get out but every little bit, especially back then. No thrift shopping and CVS coupon runs for me in a good while. Really all we did back at that point was go to my mom and dads + the grocery store and that is it. Now we do get out a little bit more, but it still isn't like it was. Moving on.... David and I both woke up and didn't feel very well on Sunday July 31st. I personally just chalked it up to having stayed up a little late and had some wine (I can … [Read more...]
Holiday Gift Guide 2022:Looking For & Early Sponsor Shoutouts #holidaygiftguide #journorequest #prrequest
Hey Everyone! I cannot believe that it is already time for Holiday Gift Guide 2022. The last successful gift guide I had was back in 2017, and involved me doing half of my guide, a sponsored beach vacation with 5 very in depth posts , a mattress review for Nectar and then the rest of my holiday gift guide- to say I wore myself out is probably an understatement! I am hoping for a awesome, but more small guide this year- though we'll see how it goes! I am def. going to be taking it slow to start with! We know I tend to need to stay more busy in the winter so.. we will leave it up to fate I suppose! This is my main post that will have all the information, my early sponsors (they get extra love and shoutouts) and of course a form to pitch me! This post will be pinned for a while, and then I will switch over to the actual guide being pinned at some point, with a link to this post of course! My blog turned 12 years old in May - though we all know I started blogging before the word … [Read more...]
So, why did my blogging slow down?
So, when COVID first came around back in 2020 I had already slowed down with blogging a lot- I kind of went big with the whole Myrtle Beach trip & the gift guide running together back at the end of 2017 and I was BURNT THE HECK OUT + you know it was winter and with my seasonal depression I was like whatever, I'll pick things back up in the spring- and I never did! The biggest thing was David had gotten me an kindle fire tablet and kindle unlimited and I went hard core into reading and never really looked back. I mean yeah, I blogged some here and there but it wasn't such a big thing- reading was better , less dramatic and I just fully went down a rabbit hole there. I did try a couple times for review things around gift guide time, but I never really got anywhere so I kind of just gave up. I think up to a certain point I was still posting semi regularly and then when I had my chemical eye burn (theres a fun story to look forward to!in may 2019 I kind of got worse with blogging, … [Read more...]
New Routines All Around!
So I have SERIOUSLY gotten into the habit of SLEEPING TOO MUCH which has in turn led to me basically just lounging about feeling like CRAP most days :( The thing is, I kind of knew it, but I was too depressed to really care! Ever since the time changed last fall I haven't had very many what I would consider GOOD days. Which you know I chalked a lot of that up to seasonal depression, and well that was just the way it was going to be and that I would be OK in March when the time changed again. Guess What? The time changed and I did NOT bounce back. AT ALL. Somewhere in there I did manage to clean out about 10 bags of stuff out (spring cleaning, if you will) but.. for the most part March-May is just a big blur (as is from November-March) I was getting back to normal when we got the puppy (which is a whole blog post on its own) Then of course she didn't work out- then we got the new dog- and Yeah.. it has just been FOREVER since I felt normal/at peace and had an actual routine. I … [Read more...]
The Past 3 Years: A mini guide
So the last 3 years or so have been super crazy. Here is a list of random things that have happened, that I will probably end up writing out detailed posts about some of , at some point -Chemical Eye Burn & Grandpas Death (On David's Birthday, May 2019) -David Wreck (June 2019) -Parents serious wreck (August 31 2019)- 3 years ago today -David's summer of anxiety (2020) -My eyes and their cornea issue (May 2020) -TN Trip May 2021 (Honestly from what I remember 2021 was pretty mild and I can only think of like one random thing that was kind of bad) seasonal depression started AS soon as the time changed and never went away, apparently turned into actual depression(Fall, Winter 2021/ Spring 2022) David wreck (I know, 2 in 3 years right) Feb 2022 Puppy that unfortunately, no matter how bad I wanted it to work out with, didn't work out :( (June 2022) New Dog Luna that cause me hella anxiety for some reason (July 2022) Yes, its almost been 2 months and … [Read more...]
I’m Still Around!
Hi Everyone Well.. I kind of haven't been around in FOREVER, Again! I really hoped that Blogging might be something that I could throw myself back into this year, but so far... well I guess we can all see that hasn't been the case. Don't worry, it isn't like I'm cheating on blogging with much of anything else. I pretty much do housework, watch tv and hang out with the fur folks most of the day. When David is home, we have a new little thing where we collected a bunch of board games and we keep busy with those. It was kind of crazy that that the only game we even had was Monopoly! I also had a set of uno cards and a set of regular cards but that was pretty much it! Now we have a pretty good collection- I probably couldn't begin to name them, and last night we got connect 4. Also, a couple reasons I haven't been around - other than I think I hit burn out with blogging and reviewing when I did that big gift guide and trip several years back- so I kind of dived into reading- … [Read more...]
