As you may or may not have noticed, David and I are going on a trip to Myrtle Beach next month! I haven’t been to the beach since like 1999 and David hasn’t been since before that, so we are looking forward to it greatly of course- even more so since it will be our first trip to the beach together as well, awww! The very same day that I got confirmation of my hotel and had sat everything into motion I got an email about reviewing something that was so related it was so ironic: Taffy Town Salt Water Taffy! I was like you talk about meant to be right?
I hadn’t had salt water taffy for a long time. I know you can usually find it randomly at the stores around here but that has kind of always been one of those beach things for me but when I was browsing their site and saw all the awesome flavors I knew I wanted to work with them- and we can always get some taffy while we’re away too if we want to, but I don’t think we’ll be needing any, because all together I received 5lbs of taffy in 13 different flavors! (the number 13 haunts me!) We got a 3lb bag of 3 flavors and a 2lb box of 10 mixed flavors!
To pick the flavors I had to print the page out from their website and David and I grabbed ink pens and marked which ones we would want to try and then we narrowed it down from there.There were truly so many flavors! I know that in the future I would love to be able to try more, and even since I got my review package I have noticed even more options on their site!
For the 3lb bag I went with mostly “fall” kind of flavors like candy apple, pumpkin pie and caramel corn (I was going to do candy corn but I switched it at the last minute!)
For the 2lb box we went all kinds of hodge podge! Here are the flavors that we chose, this is the inside of the lid of the box and as you can see it shows all the flavors, and what they look like so you can know what you are eating!
Oh and just look at the variety of flavors just in what we received, you def. should check out their Taffy Town Menu and see exactly how extensive their catalog is!

Of course the taffy is awesome, and it isn’t too “sticky” which was good for several people that tried the taffy including my mom. I know that even David’s mom asked him if it was before she tried it and we were like no, it is actually just right! I know that when it first came off the truck for delivery it was a really hot day so it was a different texture then of course!
Taffy Town is an awesome USA based company, and they have been around for 100 years! I really love that they are a family company too! Other awesome things? The taffy has no tree nuts, peanuts( I am allergic to both of those!) it is gluten free and it is kosher dairy! I am looking forward to enjoying our taffy for a while longer- though David has made a lot of progress with eating it- You all know I am more of a savory kind of gal but I do like to indulge when the mood hits. I actually made sure I got a piece of each flavor and put it in a baggie for later 🙂
